Regional economic development has the primary objective to increase the number and types of job opportunities for local communities. To achieve this goal, local governments and communities must take the initiative of local development. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) from year to year is one indicator of the success of regional development, in which the role of each economic sector is crucial. The size of the revenue contribution of each economic sector is the result of planning and sectoral development undertaken in the area. Analysis of Growth Poles and Spatial Autocorrelation in Kalimantan: An Empirical Study of 55 Districts, 2000–2012The paper identifies which districts in Kalimantan that become the growth poles and whether there has been spatial autocorrelation in 55 districts during 2000–2012. This study also explores which economic sectors will be leading sectors. The social-economic data were collected for 55 districts using quantitative methods, in particular: typology of Regent/City, spatial autocorrelation, overlay analysis, and structural transformation. The Central Government has designated North Penajam Paser Regency as one of the new capital areas. The aim of the Government to move the capital city from Java Island is for equitable development and economic growth. The existence of limited regional funds requires local governments to arrange the priority of economic sectors which have to be developed in their regions. Mistakes in selecting priority sectors will cause waste of funds and underdevelopment of the regional economy. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the leading sectors of North Penajam Paser Regency. This research uses Location Quotient and Shift Share analysis methods with Gross Regional Domestic Product for 2015 to 2019. The results showed that the construction and real estate sectors were the leading sectors.

This study aims to analyze the superior potential of coconut plantation from each sub-district in Natuna Regency. The study aims to: (1) know which subdistrict in Natuna Regency that produces coconut with the potential of competitiveness and specialization year 2012-2016; (2) to know which subdistrict has coconut comodity as economic base sector in Natuna Regency; (3) to know which sub-districts have coconut commodities as the economic base sector in Natuna Regency in the future; (4) determines the areas that can be developed from coconut production; (5) to know the contribution of the growth of coconut production to the economi 2012-2015. This research uses secondary data and is quantitative with analysis of Shift Share, Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Klassen Typology, and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). The data used is the production of plantations in Natuna Regency from each sub-district of 2012-2016.

This study aims to analyze the forming of GRDP sectors in Kebumen, and determine which sectors are priorities to be developed in order to encourage economic growth Kebumen. The research uses descriptive analytical method, the data used are secondary data in the form of time series of GDP Kebumen and Central Java Province with the observation year 2005 to 2009. This study aims to determine the dominant sector of the regional economy Labuhanbatu. Secondary data were obtained the form of time series from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Labuhanbatu and North Sumatera province from 2013-2017 to determine the most prominent sector using Typology Klassen, LQ, shift and MRP methods. The economic sectors were divided into four groups based on their large contribution and economic growth rate namely prominent, growing, potential and underdeveloped.
