Was erzählt Pop über die deutsche Geschichte?

In der Popmusik spiegelt sich die Zeitgeschichte. Pop leistet dadurch einen Beitrag zur deutschen Erinnerungskultur und wird zum Kritiker der Zustände. Marcus S. Kleiner erzählt die Geschichte der deutschsprachigen Popmusik der letzten 80 Jahre zusammenhängend und beleuchtet das Zusammenspiel von Pop und Politik. Die politische Popmusik bleibt über alle Jahrzehnte hinweg eine Stimme gegen gruppenbezogene Menschenfeindlichkeit, rechte Bedrohungsallianzen, Nationalismus, Militarismus und vieles mehr.

English Abstract: The aim in this thesis is to show how the Basque-culture identity struggles are reflected within the Basque literature and how their actions, behaviour, traditions, culture, memory, language, etcetera, define them as a community or minority. In order to show the reflection of the law in five chosen novels written in Basque, firstly I will try to explain the link between law and literature, and afterwards, a double analytical construction will take place: on the first hand, a descriptive and historical explanation to provide the audience with the meaning of the three basic concepts which constitute the Basque culture -identity, conflict and memory-, and with a socio-historical context; on the second hand, this analysis will be based on the content analysis of the five novels that have been chosen, and contextualized or in relation to the period that goes from the Civil War (1936-1939) to the post-war and nowadays, with special insistences in the decade of the 1980s ...

En La ciudad letrada (1984), Ángel Rama analizó la relación
entre el poder virreinal y las capas letradas locales, que
tradujo como un pacto entre letra y poder. El mecenazgo en
España suponía una asimetría jerárquica y una relación de
mutuo provecho; en América se replicaban estas coordinadas,
pero el trato difería en algunos sentidos. Los letrados criollos
se adjudicaron una autoridad que devenía del hecho de ser
nacidos en estas tierras, de portar ciertos valores culturales
diferenciados y de tener la capacidad de hablar por otros, de
representar la voz de sus sociedades, en su presente y también
en su pasado. Esto ubicó a los criollos en un lugar particular
en las relaciones de poder, pese al frecuente relegamiento que
experimentaron para ocupar puestos en la administración
colonial. Ese plus simbólico (origen patrio, identidad cultural,
representación, manejo del pasado y del presente) que aportaban
a la relación fue el capital que hicieron valer en los reclamos
de reconocimiento y negociaciones ante el poder virreinal, si
bien, paradójicamente, a través de formas que parecieran no
dejar lugar para estas manifestaciones, como los homenajes y
panegíricos. El modo subrepticio de hacer viable su mensaje es uno de los aspectos más interesantes a desentrañar en estas expresiones, muchas veces leídas, desprevenidamente, bajo los
parámetros de la literal adulación.

Questa domanda, per la psicanalisi, è tradizionale, perché era stato lo stesso Freud a sottolineare il valore patogenetico della società di massa, ed a rivendicare l'indipendenza della formazione degli analisti da ogni tipo di criterio universitario; ma è anche attualissima, visto che non possiamo non chiederci se la democrazia occidentale, oggi, è ancora e ettiva, o si sta sempre più chiaramente avviando a diventare una "democratura", nella quale gl'interessi del capitale prevalgono sempre più chiaramente sulle esigenze vitali dei cittadini, e soprattutto dei giovani. La psicanalisi è un metodo non di terapia -quindi non è una psicoterapia, checché ne dicano le leggi italiane -, ma di formazione individuale. Ed è proprio questo che costituisce l'elemento di scomoda attualità della pratica inaugurata più d'un secolo fa da Sigmund Freud. Diviso in tre sezioni -«La democrazia ieri e oggi», «La psicanalisi e la legge», «L'individuale e il sociale» -, questo volume raccoglie nel merito le testimonianze di politici, giuristi, loso , psicanalisti.

It attempts to explain the nature of the prince's charisma and talents as a leader by looking his upbringing and life experiences.

Focussed on Heidegger's philosophy there is the important relationship between Polish authors, Wodziński, Michnik, Tischner, Michalski and French deconstructionism (Derrida, Deleuze), also with Italian postmetaphysics (Vattimo, Agamben). The research method rely on the analysis and interpretation of the texts of Martin Heidegeer (Black Notebooks especially), Hannah Arendt (Denktagebuch, especially) and other writings about Heidegger's controversy. One of the purposes is to make more in value the works by Cezary Wodziński, the recently deceased Polish philosopher, especially a series of his books and articles about understanding of the Heideggerian philosophy. It is difficult to conceive of any serious studies of metaphysics and its contemporary understanding, without a reference to his work on Heidegger. His originality holds its own in comparison to the proposals of international authors such as Derrida, Deleuze or Vattimo. We are interested in his assessment of postmodernitythe erosion of values, or their lack, the attitude towards the Holocaust, the need for high culture, the question of responsibility on a personal and political planeand the manner of wording the postmodern philosophical problems, are still insufficiently known and understood. Cezary Wodziński, the truly important Polish philosopher, deceased in 2016, and co-created the Polish philosophical environment at the turn of the 20th and 21st century, was a real spiritus movens of many projects of the community, starting with the magazine "Aletheia", which was transformed into a publishing house, through many years of editing the "Przegląd Filozoficzny" ("Philosophical Review") to organizing international debates and conferences (including at the IWM in Vienna). His lectures and seminars at the University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University gathered dozens of listeners. His translation activity brought Polish readers closer to difficult works such as Heidegger's Nietzsche.

Le raccolte fotografiche costituite a partire da metà Ottocento per scopi didattici e di ricerca dalle Accademie di Belle Arti e dagli Istituti per l’insegnamento delle arti decorative sono state fino ad oggi poco indagate. Le ragioni di questa lacuna storiografica sono in gran parte da identificare nella mancanza di adeguati provvedimenti di conservazione, catalogazione e valorizzazione di questi beni. Il volume affronta per la prima volta temi storiografici e pratiche di gestione in una prospettiva di sistema, mettendo a confronto le realtà italiane con quelle di vari Paesi europei. Nel complesso, esso restituisce una prima panoramica su vasti e inediti patrimoni fotografici presenti nelle istituzioni di formazione artistica e mette in evidenza quanto essi abbiano inciso sulla cultura visiva italiana.

En tiempos de conflicto, desorden y confusión, la pintura puede proporcionar, con sus imágenes y formas, un mundo que refleja algo aún más necesario que en tiempos de calma y paz.
El artículo publicado este 10 de mayo en la portada de la revista MEER Internacional revela cómo las diferentes composiciones pictóricas en el género del paisaje desarrolladas en Costa Rica por académicos y autodidactas, nacionales y extranjeros, estaban asociados con estados emocionales y filosofías específicas articuladas entre los siglos XVIII y XIX, que reconocían una actitud radical del artista hacia el entorno y la naturaleza de la que querían ser parte.
El autor del artículo es el colaborador de la revista española y crítico de arte Juan Carlos Flores Zúñiga (AICA).

A cento anni dalla nascita e a dieci dalla scomparsa del grande storico francese, Daniela Romagnoli,  infaticabile promotrice del lascito scientifico e civile di Jacques Le Goff (1924-2014), ha organizzato nel 2024 con la Casa della Cultura di Milano e il Centro Filippo Buonarroti di Milano un incontro per ricordare lo storico francese ed in particolare la sua eredità nella cultura, non solo storiografica, contemporanea. Dall’incontro, nel 2025, è scaturito un libro (Incontri con Jacques Le Goff, a cura di Daniela Romagnoli, Sesto San Giovanni (Mi), Pantarei, 2025). Nel volume figurano, oltre a scritti di Jacques Le Goff, contributi di Elisabeth Atkinson Rash Brown, Carla Casagrande, Carlo Antonio Barberini, Sergio Cirio, Daniela Romagnoli, Amedeo Feniello e Giusi Zanichelli.

Turizm, günümüz itibariyle iktisadi, siyasi ve sosyal açılardan birçok ülke gibi Türkiye'nin de mevcut durumunu ve geleceğini yakından etkileyen unsurlardan biri hâline gelmiştir. Bu anlamda Türkiye'de turizmin geçirdiği safhaların tarihsel açıdan incelenmesi, mevcut turizm teşkilatlanmasının ve faaliyetlerinin daha iyi anlaşılarak kuvvetlendirilmesi ve böylece ülke turizmine katkı sağlamak üzere geleceğe yönelik daha başarılı adımlar atılabilmesi bakımından önem arz etmektedir. Bu bağlamda Başbakanlık'a bağlı olarak 1949-1957 yılları arasında faaliyet gösteren Basın-Yayın ve Turizm Genel Müdürlüğü (BYTGM)'nün Türk turizm tarihi içinde önemli bir merhaleyi teşkil ettiği görülmektedir. Turizm faaliyetlerini geliştirmeye ve artırmaya yönelik turistik tanıtım ve propaganda faaliyetlerinin öneminin arttığı söz konusu dönem itibariyle çağdaş bir anlayış çerçevesinde Türkiye'nin tarihî ve tabii güzelliklerinin ülke insanına ve yabancılara tanıtılması, turistler nezdinde olumlu bir ülke imajı uyandırılması ve bu münasebetle turistlere ülke sathında seyahat imkân ve fırsatları yaratılması bir gereklilik hâlini almıştı. Turizmin ülkeye sağlayabileceği iktisadi, siyasi ve sosyal kazançlar yetkililer ve ilgililer tarafından göz ardı edilmemiş, bu doğrultuda tanıtma ve propaganda faaliyetleri BYTGM'nin başta gelen görevleri arasında yer almıştır. Bu yöndeki çalışmalar belediyeler, gönüllü ve hususi kuruluşlar ile bilim ve sanat insanlarınca da desteklenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Türkiye turizminde önemli bir dönüm noktasını ve gelişim merhalesini teşkil eden BYTGM dönemindeki turistik tanıtma ve propaganda faaliyetleri ele alınmıştır. Bu münasebetle Türkiye'deki sosyal tarih araştırmalarına katkı sağlamak ve turizm tarihi çalışmalarına da ışık tutmak amaçlanmıştır.

Pasiuni şi crime regale este o foarte documentată şi pertinentă analiză a istoriei Regatului României, făcută dintr-un unghi absolut inedit, din interiorul familiei regale. Metoda de documetare, deosebit de laborioasă, nu a împiedicat-o pe autoare să creeze o carte plină de surprize, care te ţine cu sufletul la gură până la ultima pagină. Personajele istorice care populează lucrarea, membri familiei regale, oamenii politici şi de stat, oamenii de afaceri, sunt conturaţi de autoare cu siguranţă, în ciuda clar-obscurului propriilor fapte . Îmbinând metodele istoriografiei modeme cu un talent narativ deosebit, Joana Damaskin dezvăluie rând pe rând, în lucrarea Pasiuni şi crime regaJe, multiplele faţete ale adevărului istoric . Regii şi reginele României ne sunt înfăţişaţi în condiţia lor tragică, de personaje sfăşiate între simţul datoriei, pasiunile şi viciile lor. Regina Maria, bunăoară, este senzuală, pasională chiar, dar are şi un simţ al datoriei faţă de Ţară ce o înalţă spre idealitate. Ea este în acelaşi timp femeia atrasă de iubirea pământeană, dar şi regina învăluită în asceza iubirii de Neam. În strânsă legătură cu tema principală, autoarea, fără a face o apoteoză a mişcării legionare, o scoate pe aceasta din cotloanele întunecate şi ferecate, în care fusese zvârlită de cele trei dictaturi ( carlistă, antonesciană şi comunistă) şi o redă istoriei. În contradicţie cu stilul tem, al majorităţii lucrărilor de istoriografie modernă, Joana Damaskin îşi fascinează cititorul purtându-l, ca pe un covor fermecat, prin spatele uşilor închise istoriografiei. Necăutând cu obstinaţie senzaţionalul, autoarea găseşte însă în istoria României, nu doar mâl ş1 putreziciune, ci şi străluciri de briliant, momente înălţătoare şi luminoase. Dragă Cititoru.le, Eu nu sunt o scriitoare profesionistă şi nici o cercetătoare cunoscută din domeniul istoriei, sunt doar o româncă iubitoare de adevăr, carte şi condei. Nu am nici un fel de simpatii politice şi nu am fost niciodată apropiată de vreuna din ideologiile politice . Am văzut lumina zilei sub domnia Regelui Ferdinand, am crescut în timpul domniei Regelui Carol al II -/ea şi am ajuns la majorat atunci când era rege Mihai Întâiul . Când eram în primăvara tinereţii şi mă pregăteam spre a mă dedica versului şi prozei, Regele Mihai i-a adus pe comunişti la guvern şi ei m-au transformat, din intelectuală în devenire, în slugă pe o tarla de colhoz stalinist. După treizeci şi trei de ani de umilinţe, sărăcie lucie şi închisori, am obţinut, în anul 1977, un paşaport turistic şi o viză pentru Germania, unde am plecat să vizitez nişte prieteni. Între două trenuri, la Koln, am cunoscut un ziarist american, cu care m-am căsătorit imediat. Astfel am ajuns la New York ... cetăţean american. Dorinţa mea, atunci când am început să scriu Pasiuni şi crime regale a fost aceea de a informa cât mai corect posibil tânăra generaţie din România, asupra ororilor trăite de noi, astfel ca 11ceste să nu se mai poată repeta. Deoarece pentru mine, în acea perioadă, arhivele şi bibliotecile din România erau cu desăvârşire inabordabile, mi-am fundamentat lucrarea pe documente şi lucrări ce se găseau în Franţa, Anglia, Germania, Spania şi America. Această documentare laborioasă, precum şi credibilitatea surselor ei, au asigurat veridicitatea acestei cărţi. Dar cum realitatea nu este monocoloră, nici eu nu am prezentat-o astfel, motiv pentru care cartea ar putea părea, la o lecturare fugitivă, stranie. Aşa este însă adevărul, nici alb, nici negru complet, şi acest adevăr am dorit eu să ţi-l înfăţişez, cititoru/el Rămâne ca Dumneata să decizi dacă acest adevăr îţi place sau nu.

Mit diesen Worten beschreibt der amerikanische Historiker und Geschichtswissenschaftler Paul E. Chevedden den Einfluss, welchen Papst Alexander II. direkt auf den Brauch der Ablassbriefe in Verbindung mit dem Kreuzfahren hatte. Alexander steht also definitiv als Schlüsselfigur dieser Idee dar, jedoch gilt es zu klären, warum überhaupt Alexander II. so wichtig für diesen Brauch der Ablässe, beziehungsweise die Entwicklung des Gedankens an sich war.

A b s t r a c t. The article examines the visitation protocols of Bobowa deanery by the dean Stanislaw Baniak. As a result of detailed analysis of the source material has been determined that 14 parish temples and one branch church, in this period had organ or positive. Beginning in the 13th century, rivalry among Italian city-states intensified, transforming cultural competition into a strategic tool for asserting identity. Roman heritage was often contested, with cities emphasising their claims as the true heirs of Rome. Siena has faced criticism for its lack of major historical sites. In response, its municipal authorities and citizens developed the legends of the "she-wolf" and Saint Ansanus. These legends reinforced Siena's urban identity through historical narratives and public art. During the Renaissance, Siena redefined its history to assert its legitimacy by drawing on classical culture. This re-articulation of identity addressed historical rivalries and revealed the enduring complexity of local identity formation in Italy. This study examines historical legends and uses historical materials, such as city archives and artworks, to research the Italian city of Siena during the Renaissance and to investigate the origins of urban legends, their controversies, and how Siena created the legends of the "she-wolf" and Saint Ansanus.

Önde gelen İslam hukuku akademisyenlerinden biri olarak kabul edilen Wael B. Hallaq, sadece İslam hukuku nazariyesini ve uygulamasını çalışmakla değil, aynı zamanda İslam âlimlerinin de fikhi geleneklerine karşılaştığı zorlukları yüzleşebilecekleri bir metodolojinin geliştirilmesine önemli katkılar sundu. Wael B. Hallaq, Direniş: Olarak İlim kitabında modernitenin dayattığı epistemolojik kırılmalara karşı dirençle beslenen bir entelektüel mirası izini sürüyor. Tarihe ve karşılaştırmalara dikkat kesilen Hallaq, modern devletin köklerine ilişkin sorgulamalar yapan eserine tarihçilerdan şarkiyatçılığın eleştirisine, Gazze’nin yakılımdan Büyük İntifada’ya, Amerikan üniversitelerindeki protestolardan küresel adaletsizliğe kadar bir çok meseleyle, Batı modernliğinin ikiyüzlü yapısını teşhir ederek iddeliyor. Ona göre, İslamî bilginin yeniden inşası, yalnızca akademik bir çaba değil, aynı zamanda bir direniş biçimidir. Son tahlilde kitap, sömürügeci aklın ürettiği kavramlara teslim olmayan, alternatif bir insan ve toplum tasavvurunun imkanlarını araştırıyor. Hallaq’ın düşüncesi, okuyucuyu hem geçmişle yüzleşmeye hem de geleceği cesaretle kurgulamaya davet ediyor.

Il seicentenario della fondazione della Ca' Giocosa di Mantova, l'originalissimo esperimento educativo condotto da Vittorino da Feltre nel Quattrocento, ha dato l'occasione per un convegno internazionale all'Accademia Nazionale Virgiliana di Mantova sui processi educativi laici ed ecclesiastici nell'Italia dei secoli XV-XVII, tra corti e società civile.

Penelitian dalam tulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa sejarah yang memprogramkan mata kuliah Sejarah Amerika di Universitas Tadulako, Palu. Kondisi ini terjadi karena (1) Tingkat pemahaman dan aplikasi konsep sejarah masih rendah, (2) Banyak mahasiswa yang belum memahami tentang konsep, fakta, prinsip, dan prosedur yang ada di dala mata kuliah Sejarah Amerika, 3) Masih banyak ditemukan mahasiswa yang lebih mengutamakan hafalan dalam proses belajar, tanpa memahami isi kandungan materi buku Sejarah, 4) Banyak mahasiswa Sejarah yang belum mengetahui konsep-konsep dasar dalam sejarah, lebih jauh adalah mahasiswa tidak mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dalam menyelesaikan konsep dan fakta dala mata kuliah sejarah Amerika. Nel corso di una lezione tenuta nel marzo 1942 agli studenti di un liceo scientifico bolognese, il professore Umberto Brauzzi riassunse in alcune roboanti frasi l'intera azione politica italiana sulla Corsica e soprattutto le concrete motivazioni poste alla base della rivendicazione fascista dell'isola tirrenica : « L'antemurale Sardo-Corso, con la Corsica in mano agli estranei, vorrebbe significare la più pericolosa breccia nel nostro dispositivo di difesa, la paralisi di ogni movimento, dall'arco ligure sino al campano. Vincitori senza la Corsica non ci potremmo dire mai ; ché, per apportare al mondo, serenamente, il contributo dell'indiscussa nostra civiltà e all'ordinamento della nuova Europa, è assolutamente necessario che non siano menate le basi del nostro movimento commerciale più ricco : ci occorre cioè il pieno possesso dell'isola 1 . E ancora, più avanti : La nostra piattaforma di lancio, la penisola, è profondamente vulnerabile, per l'intrusione, nel bel mezzo di una terra nostra, della Francia che sorveglia e preclude le libere vie del mare e dell'aria » 2 . Al di là delle dichiarazioni di continuità geografica (la Corsica veniva paragonata alla Dalmazia, con la speculare funzione di limite estremo di un « gran golfo » italiano : là l'Adriatico, qui il Tirreno) e di comunità nazionale (i corsi erano definiti come una naturale « filiazione » della « razza italica »), ciò che emergeva dal ragionamento di Brauzzi era la dimensione squisitamente strategica dell'intero impianto rivendicazionista : l'isola tirrenica doveva passare sotto il controllo di Roma per perfezionare la « fortezza Italia », chiudendo in modo particolare l'area della capitale in una sorta di « lago italiano » e permettendo un raddoppio della portaerei naturale sarda nel pieno centro del Mediterraneo. Di certo la rivendicazione trovava anche una remota motivazione in rancori mai sopiti, anzi semmai amplificati con il vicino d'Oltralpe. Emblematica appariva un'altra affermazione del Brauzzi : « Noi dobbiamo arguire della dura battaglia che l'Italia deve ancora sostenere per aggregarsi l'isola più italiana d'Italia » 3 . Frase emblematica ma anche di articolare peso politico, se si tiene conto del periodo in cui venne enunciata, con una Francia per metà occupata e per metà in bilico tra una neutralità collaborativa e un collaborazionismo totale e convinto nei confronti dell'Asse. Nuovamente, come nel caso delle altre vertenze con la Francia (principalmente Tunisi, Gibuti e il Nizzardo), si assisteva a una complicata e a tratti penosa relazione schizofrenica con Vichy, realtà statale a parole inglobata nel Nuovo Ordine ma nei fatti -e la sopravvivenza di una Corsica francese contro tutte le affermazioni del Brauzzi ne era la testimonianza -ad esso nemico, almeno secondo le considerazioni degli analisti italiani. La rivendicazione fascista dell'isola tirrenica risaliva agli albori del Regime, e superava per anzianità le vertenze transalpine sulla Provenza e la Savoia. Nel 1924 venne istituito su ordine di Mussolini un « Comitato per la Corsica » avente lo scopo, come si legge in una relazione commissionata dal Ministero degli Esteri nel 1939, di « mantenere tra i regnicoli e i Corsi viva la questione dell'italianità dell'isola » 4 . La presidenza dell'associazione fu data a Francesco Guerri, un docente universitario d'origine corsa, affiancato da un incaricato del Ministero degli Esteri e dall'onorevole Quirino Figlioli. Il Ministero dispose sul fondo del gabinetto un « congruo stanziamento » per sostenere le iniziative del Comitato. Nello stesso periodo il dicastero si preoccupò di riorganizzare la rappresentanza diplomatica italiana sull'isola. Los días 30 de noviembre y 1 de diciembre de 2002, el Centro de Documentación de Música Popular (Herri Musikaren Txokoa) y la Asociación Vasca de Bertsolaris (Bertsozale Elkartea) organizaron en Oiartzun (Guipúzcoa) las I Jornadas de Música Popular (Herri Musikaren 1. Jardunaldiak) bajo el título Herri Musika ‾ Bertsolaritza (Música Popular ‾ Bertsolarismo). Dichas jornadas versaron sobre la relación mutua entre música popular vasca y bertsolarismo (repentización de versos cantados en euskara) a través de conferencias, mesas redondas y actos públicos. Partiendo de la afirmación de que no hay canto sin métrica y no hay bertsos sin música, los organizadores trataron de acercar posturas, reflexionar teóricamente y buscar ámbitos de colaboración en un contexto de cambio y retroceso de la cultura oral en el País Vasco. [1] Cinco años después de su celebración, Herri Musikaren Txokoa publica como 4º número de su colección editorial sobre música popular esta crónica del evento. La obra sigue únicamente en la presentación general y el programa de las jornadas la línea editorial plurilingüe de la colección (euskara, castellano, francés, inglés), hallándose el grueso del contenido del libro escrito en euskara. Confirmada la relación general existente entre música popular y bertsolarismo, las jornadas prestan atención a los puntos de conexión entre ambos términos, con especial énfasis en su situación actual y futura: en primer lugar, se estudia el empleo de la música en el bertsolarismo y la aportación de éste al cancionero vasco; en segundo lugar, la presencia de la música popular y las koplas en las romerías vascas. The present article aims-albeit briefly-to reflect about the theoretical origins and development of multi-species anthropology. Our brief "journey" has its starting point in the paradigm of the human exceptionalism and the anthropocentric view of the relationship between human beings and the rest of the natural world. This gaze, having constituted the central paradigm of the origins of the anthropological discipline, is the result of profoundly western ways of looking at and interpreting the world and the diversity it contains. Traditional dualisms such as nature-culture are based on it, which justified the distinct treatment of the non-Western "other". In turn, the end of this paradigm emerged as the result of the modernity rise Resumo O presente trabalho visa-ainda que de forma resumida-refletir sobre as origens teóricas e sobre o desenvolvimento da antropologia multiespécies. Surveillance was long considered one of the main characteristics of communist rule. The ubiquitous presence of the secret police and its informants, citizens who would spy on their own family, friends, and colleagues, was one trait that was considered almost consubstantial to the exercise of communist repression. The regimes paralyzed the people by mobilizing fear: fear of repression, but also fear of the West, and fear of capitalism. But the participation of large chunks of society to this control culture, as well as its high level of conformism, progressively led to the postulate that the communist domination is no more than one particular avatar of modern society. Such an approach revives the notion of individual choice and that of social actors. As dissident thinkers underlined it, it would have been enough for people to question the official dogma, by refusing to live in a lie, for the regimes to collapse. However, surveillance practices have been studied also in Western countries in the past decades. And the recent coronavirus crisis shows yet again that the use of fear in politics is not a prerogative of communist regimes only. We can observe how potent fear is, also in our democracies, as a motivator of individual behavior and extractor of conformism. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has increased the visibility of state and corporate surveillance, yet this new reality has garnered the massive support of the wider public. In fact, it has largely been a demand on the part of a fearful citizenry, who has voluntarily complied to this new surveillance and self-surveillance model. The communist experience should warn us that surveillance leads to censorship and, even more importantly, to a change of behavior. But the current Covid situation should also lead us to reinterpret the degree of sincerity of social actors under communism: we now see that fear can lead to curtailing freedoms with the willing participation of a large part of society.

This book proposes a new notion of “ambicoloniality” to speak about the current situation when Ukraine has become Russia's territory of obsession, and Russia, in its desire to occupy Ukraine, has in effect subjected itself to Ukraine’s symbolic dominance. Ambicoloniality presents a key point of divergence from already existing models. The mutual impact of the two countries over centuries has gone both ways, over a shared border—in contrast to many other empires that established their colonial power relations at a distance. The Ukrainian-Russian case is very different from the examples covered by both postcolonial and decolonial theorists. To explore the reasons and consequences of such a differing process of colonial expansion, anti-colonial struggle, and decolonial release, the book inquires into the historical and cultural reasons for the emerging gap between the two states. It explores the role that cultural hybridity plays in political self-identification in both Ukraine and Russia, and how this hybridity has manifested in society and culture (including examples of art and literature) following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, until 2023.

This paper brings together the chief points raised during FM5 by astronomers, archaeologists, and historians whose research interests centred on novæ and supernovæ. The common focus was the use of historical observations to study transient astronomical phenomena. The presenters covered a wide variety of topics within that theme, and this report summarizes some of the aspects specific to historical novæ and supernovæ.

Dobro, pokój i bezpieczeństwo to paradygmaty etyki duchowej nadziei, to przeciwstawienie się smutnej i traumatycznej realności świata. Etyka nakierowana na prolongowanie życia wypływa z ducha woli istnienia, niezależnego wobec mechanizmów rzeczywistości tanatycznej, nawet w rozumieniu dialektycznej harmonizacji życia i śmierci. Śmierć w żaden sposób nie może uzasadniać potrzeby bycia. Wola istnienia, przetrwanie i prolongowanie trwania, jako warunki definitio pojęcia bezpieczeństwa, stanowią naczelne zasady etyki czci dla życia. Schweitzer, przekonany o autonomii etyki, różnicuje proces naukowego postępu i wewnętrzne bogactwo duchowości. Duch pozostaje swoistym indywiduum w sprawiedliwej ocenie świata realności, w którym często obserwujemy skutki władzy Tanatosa. Nadzieja wspierana przez autonomiczną witalną duchowość, często wchodzi w konflikt z realnością wojny i śmierci. W jaki sposób zasada czci dla życia ma być paralelna wobec zasady jego unicestwienia, szczególnie w odniesieniu do zabijania dla przyjemności (w imię idei "sportu królów)? 1 . Wojna nie jest odzwierciedleniem ducha, a nawet nie stanowi negatywnej konsekwencji dialektycznego (opartego na walce przeciwieństw) porządku świata. Wojna jest ludzką patologią w smutnej perspektywie potencjalności niczym nieuzasadnionej śmierci. Świat niekończącej się przemiany, swoistego 1 Sport królów to wojna i zabijanie bez koniecznej egzystencjalnej przyczyny. Pozbawienie życia nie służy zaspokojeniu potrzeby przetrwania, a jest hedonistycznym wymiarem ludzkiej próżności. G.M. Gathorne-Hardy w liście do Arnolda J. Toynbee pisał: "W czasach prehistorycznych (...) żołnierz czynił życie znośniejszym, a sprawiedliwość bardziej osiągalną w świecie zagrożonym ustawicznie najazdami barbarzyńców. Obecnie ten sam typ człowieka przejawia skłonność do odziedziczenia ich instynktów i przymiotów. Jednakże funkcje łowcy i żołnierza stały się mniej konieczne, w przypadku łowcy zapewne całkiem zbędne". Wojny i zabijania nie można już uzasadniać w kategoriach egzystencjalnego przetrwania, ale swoistego sportu dla wybranych -"sportu królów". A.J. Toynbee podkreślił, iż nadszedł czas, kiedy wojna nie jest już środkiem do przetrwania, ale przeobraża się w autonomiczny militaryzm -prowadzenia wojny dla niej samej. "(...) Złowieszczy militaryzm, tak różny od niewinnego męstwa szczęśliwego wojownika, da się, być może, określić jako chęć prowadzenia wojny dla samej wojny, jakkolwiek jej instytucja przestała być koniecznością społeczną i za taką już nie uchodzi". En el presente trabajo pretendemos establecer una correlacion entre la idea universal de los Derechos Humanos y los discursos literarios. En ambos campos se juegan los permanentes modos dicotomicos de enfocarlos, esto es, los terminos abstractos y las realidades locales. Los derechos humanos tienen en la literatura latinoamericana y mundial en general una expresion conflictiva del caracter declarativo insito al discurso de los derechos.

Resumen: Las geopolíticas de la cultura en Hispanoamérica, han puesto en juego determinados lugares (sedes metropolitanas), algunos medios (revistas, empresas editoriales) y las redes. Es así como ciertos estudios se han ocupado de acercar la producción textual con las sedes o espacios de producción en diferentes momentos de la cultura hispanoamericana. Compartimos la inserción de la figura del intelectual que hiciera Christophe Prochasson en una tríada identificada con sus lugares ("lieux") de encuentro y actividad, con sus medios ("milieux") de expresión y comunicación y con la compleja red de relaciones ("réseaux") que teje a su alrededor, y no como un prisionero de su discurso, aislado de su entorno, sino que a la dimensión colectiva del intelectual se somete el orden de su discurso. En este orden, los tres vértices (lugares, medios y redes) cobran especial trascendencia como podremos apreciar en los casos del modernismo y romanticismo.
