This qualitative research aimed to explain working of outstanding nurses in Khon Kaen province, Thailand. The participants were a total of 7 outstanding nurses, community leaders, health volunteers, health care personal and local organization officers in the communities. Data were collected by using in-depth interview, focus groups, and participant observation. Content analysis was used for data analysis. It was found that working of outstanding nurses were working with happiness, inspiring outstanding nurses to work in the communities, and socialized new health generation. The work in regard with happiness was composed of 6 components; 1) Effective early detection & basic medical care, 2) promoting individual, family and community participation, 3) setting up community learning curriculum, 4) effective home visits, and 5) arranging an accessible and prompt referral system. The purpose of this systematic literature review was to explore the status of the literature about the factors influencing the adoption of AI-based Smart Home Technologies (AI-SHT) among Chinese consumers. The study synthesizes findings from 18 peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024, focusing on behavioral, social, and technological factors that impact AI-SHT adoption. Prominent theoretical models, including the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), were frequently used to explore perceived usefulness, ease of use, social influence, and trust. Key barriers, such as privacy concerns, data security issues, and economic considerations, are discussed within China's unique cultural and economic landscape. Methodologically, quantitative studies dominated the reviewed literature, relying heavily on survey-based approaches to assess consumer attitudes and behaviors. Findings highlight the complexity of Chinese consumers' adoption motivations, suggesting a need for further research into generational preferences, alternative adoption models, and cross-industry applications of AI-SHT. This review provides a foundation for future studies and industry strategies to enhance AI-SHT adoption in China.

Business ethics is an ever-evolving field of theoretical and practical study that has enjoyed a steady stream of interest with a hockey stick of attention since globalization, especially global collaboration, which took off after 2000. There is a relatively new movement towards alterocentric ethics, a philosophical approach that places the "other" at the center of a company's consideration. Alterocentric ethics asks businesses to integrate responsibility toward stakeholders, the community, and the environment as intrinsic components of their operations. This study systematically reviews current literature on alterocentric business ethics. we applied a structured search methodology across academic databases, using predefined eligibility criteria to examine existing scholarly work comprehensively.

Con la participación de instituciones de investigación europeas y mejicanas concurrentes en el Proyecto REVOLSO/INCO (<www.ird.teledetection.fr/revolso>, se evaluó durante 3 años consecutivos, en la cuenca del Lago de Cuitzeo (Michoacán, Méjico), la construcción de pequeñas represas con neumáticos de desecho para la retención de azolves y control de cárcavas, producto del efecto erosivo del escurrimiento del agua de escorrentía producida por la compactación del suelo. La estabilización de taludes se realizó con veza (Vicia villosa), janamargo (V. sativa), pasto llorón (Eragrostis curvula), acacia (Acacia retinoides) y garrapata (Desmodium grahamii). Como resultados de estas medidas (basadas en el conocimiento de procesos de recuperación de suelos) se contribuye al mejoramiento de áreas productivas y se diminuye la erosión de las cárcavas, con lo cual se reduce el aporte de sedimentos a los cuerpos de agua y, en suma, se mejora el ambiente, aportándose soluciones de bajo costo que pueden romper el círculo vicioso erosión-pobreza.

Vengono qui presentati i primi risultati di una ricerca ancora in corso che, prendendo in esame il lago Trasimeno quale caso di studio, esamina la gestione del bacino umbro durante il ventennio fascista. In tale periodo storico, la vita sociale, politica ed economica del territorio del Trasimeno andò incontro a diverse trasformazioni, che interessarono da vicino il particolare rapporto che le popolazioni lacuali avevano con le acque del "lago di Perugia". Il fascismo, sia a livello locale sia nazionale, si rese protagonista, nel bene e nel male, di cambiamenti; fu artefice di opere che modificarono l'ambiente, ma fu anche sostenitore della "difesa" del paesaggio naturale, perché custode della identità nazionale e della tradizione artistico-letteraria del Paese. In una politica tutt'altro che scevra di contraddizioni, incoerenze e contrasti, si desidera: a) fornire un'analisi degli interessi economici, politici e culturali che caratterizzano la gestione delle risorse naturali della zona del Trasimeno; b) esaminare l'interazione tra interesse pubblico e privato; c) analizzare l'influenza della scienza sulla percezione della natura; ed infine d) indagare la connotazione simbolico-ideologica del lago Trasimeno. Considerata la vastità dell'argomento, non è qui possibile affrontare, e tanto meno esaurire, temi così vasti, si tratta, perciò, di fornire alcune indicazioni, di definire certe questioni e di sollevare alcune problematiche facendo riferimento a vicende specifiche riguardati la gestione delle acque del Trasimeno negli anni Venti del Novecento. Due sono i nuclei tematici presi in considerazione: a) i progetti di bonifica del 1922 (ing. Viappiani) e del 1924-28 (ingg. Luiggi e Ugolini) e b) la valorizzazione paesaggista e turistica del lago. Queste esperienze sono state scelte per mostrare quali interessi gravitino attorno al bacino del Trasimeno e evidenziare l'esistenza o meno di un corretto rapporto tra sfruttamento e tutela delle acque del lago (ovvero se si palesa una precisa volontà di difendere il lago e il suo equilibrio idrologico). A dam was constructed in 1994 at the headwaters of the Ibiekuma stream to provide treated drinking water for the Ambrose Alli University community and its environs. Changes in the physical and chemical characteristics of the stream after impoundment were investigated between February and August 1995. Three stations (two within the dam site and one downstream of the dam) were identified for this study along a 3 km stretch of the upper reaches of the First order stream. Only water level, flow velocity, transparency and dissolved oxygen were significantly different (P<0.05) among the study stations. The interstation comparison of parameters using Kruskal-Wallis test indicated that water level, flow velocity, transparency and dissolved oxygen were significantly different (P<0.05). Dissolved oxygen content of the pool stations at the dam site were similar but significantly lower than that of the lotic station. Variability Coefficients revealed two patterns: (1) low variability in all the stations for temperature, water level, total suspended solid and pH; (2) high variability in all the stations for the other parameters. The fluctuations in the physical and chemical hydrology of the stream appear to be influenced by the changes in the fluvial dynamics of the stream due to impoundment. Los cambios en las características físicas y químicas de la corriente después del represamiento fueron investigados entre febrero y agosto de 1995. Para este estudio se identificaron tres estaciones (dos dentro del sitio de la presa y uno corriente abajo de ella) a lo largo de un tramo de 3 km de la parte superior de la corriente de primer orden. Solamente el nivel de agua, la velocidad del flujo, la transparencia y el oxígeno disuelto difirieron significativamente (P<0.05) entre las estaciones de estudio. La comparación de los parámetros entre las estaciones por medio de la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis indicó que el nivel de agua, la velocidad del flujo, la transparencia y el oxígeno disuelto fueron significativamente diferentes (P<0.05). Los contenidos de oxígeno disuelto de las estaciones en el embalse en los sitios de la cortina fueron similares, pero significativamente más bajos que los de la estación lótica. Los coeficientes de variabilidad revelaron dos patrones: (1) poca variabilidad en todas las estaciones para la temperatura, el nivel de agua, el total de sólidos suspendidos y el pH; (2) alta variabilidad en todas las estaciones para los otros parámetros. Para este estudo foram identificadas três estações (duas dentro da barragem e uma a jusante da represa) ao longo do percurso de 3 km do troço primário do curso de água. Só o nível de água, velocidade, transparência e oxigénio dissolvido foram significativamente diferentes (P<0,05) entre as estações estudadas. A comparação entre as estações amostra utilizando o teste de Kruskal-Wallis indicou que a velocidade do fluxo, a transparência e o oxigénio dissolvido eram significativamente diferentes (P<0,05). O teor de oxigénio dissolvido das águas das duas estações na represa eram semelhantes se bem que significativamente diferentes na outra estação. Os coeficientes de variabilidade revelaram dois padrões: (1) pequena variabilidade em todas as estações quanto à temperatura, nível da água, sólidos suspensos totais e pH; (2) elevada variabilidade em todas as estações para os restantes parâmetros. As flutuações físicas e químicas na hidrologia do curso de água pareceram ser influenciadas pelas mudanças na dinâmica fluvial devidas ao represamento.

Epe lagoon lays in-between two lagoons the Lagos and the Lekki lagoons which are relatively more documented. The paucity of information on the benthic macro-invertebrate characteristics of this sandwiched lagoon prompted this present work. Approach: A survey of the malacofauna of the sediment from Epe lagoon was carried out between the months of September, 2004 and February, 2005. Eight study Stations, six settlement sites and one site each on a river mouth and an island was chosen for this survey. Samples were collected once every month. Result: The sediment at the Epe lagoon was generally alkaline (pH rang 7.2 -8.0). All other physico-chemical characteristics analyzed were relatively similar among the sites with slight local temporal variations. The mollusk community at the Epe lagoon was represented by two classes, the gastropoda, made up of three families and five species (Neritina glabarata, Neritina kuramoensis, Pachymelania aurita, Tympanotonus fuscatus var radula and Tympanotonus fuscatus) and the bivalvia, made up of four families and six species (Macoma cumana, Tellina nymphalis, Dosinia isocardia, Mutilus edulis, Tivela tripla and Crassosterea gasar). The mollusk community was dominated by the gastropod which accounted for over 60% of the total number of individuals collected. The occurrence of Neritina kuramoensis in only the brackish water sites of the Epe lagoon further confirms that this species is not a freshwater species. Generally, the diversity indices recorded for the mollusk community at the Epe lagoon was low indicative of a stressed environment. [Clement Aghatise Edokpayi and Efe Anthonia Ikharo. Plastic, an offer of modernity, has become one of the essential parts of our everyday life. However, it is presenting a massive threat in altered forms, to our health and environment. Plastic does not only pollute the surface environment, freshwater, and marine ecosystems, but toxic elements released from plastics also percolate down the surface and contaminate groundwater, which we often use as ‘safe’ drinking water. This probable future risk is deeply rooted in the entire governance infrastructure of plastic waste which could potentially lead to contamination of groundwater. Thus, a state-sponsored ‘safe drinking water’ initiative could contrarily produce a ‘risk society’. A recent study finds 81% of tap water samples collected worldwide contained plastic pollutants, which means that annually we may be ingesting between 3000 and 4000 microparticles of plastic from tap water. This article explores effective diversity management strategies in education, emphasizing their alignment with the United Nations 2030 and African Union 2063 Agendas. It contributes to a deeper understanding of how diversity management enriches educational practices and supports the broader goals of equity and social cohesion. The paper identifies ten key themes: inclusive curriculum development, culturally responsive teaching, teacher training and professional development, student engagement and participation, community partnerships, policy and institutional frameworks, leadership commitment, data collection and analysis, creating safe and inclusive spaces, and technology and digital inclusion. The study highlights the importance of an inclusive curriculum that reflects diverse backgrounds and promotes student engagement. Culturally responsive teaching enhances academic success while fostering equity. Professional development for educators is deemed essential for addressing diverse student needs and fostering inclusive environments. Additionally, engaging students in decision-making processes and building community partnerships are identified as vital for promoting inclusivity. The article underscores the necessity of comprehensive policies and strong leadership commitment to institutionalize diversity management. Data-driven decision-making is emphasized as crucial for identifying gaps and measuring the impact of diversity initiatives. Lastly, the integration of technology is discussed as a means to enhance accessibility and collaboration among students. The findings of this review inform future research and policy development in the field of diversity management in education.

Identifying research gaps and priorities is paramount to advance sustainability science and contribute to a sustainable future. This editorial contributes to this effort by contemplating the sustainability science research agenda and aligning it with recent changes in global dynamics. Drawing on consultations with the editorial board members of the Sustainability Science journal and a review of relevant literature, we identified 12 key research topics. These topics are interpreted within a strategic framework encompassing three key themes: (1) goals that drive sustainability science, (2) approaches to attain these goals, and (3) tools to advance sustainability science research. In so doing, this editorial emphasizes a sustainable development agenda extending beyond 2030, fostering equity and justice, and tackling issues related to power dynamics and geopolitical conflicts. It underscores the significance of research approaches to attaining sustainability goals, in particular, theorizing, coproduction of knowledge and action, attaining clarity in conceptual descriptions, and developing systems-oriented analytical frameworks. Additionally, it highlights the value of place-based approaches, learning from significant systemic shocks, and nurturing inner transformations. It also underlines the need to explore emerging technologies and data-intensive methodologies as a tool to address sustainability concerns. The systematic contemplation of the sustainability science research agenda presented in this editorial piece aims to invoke further discussion among researchers and practitioners about a fresh and relevant agenda that promotes the sustainable integration of nature and society.

Bangladesh faces various types of natural hazards from its birth due to geographical location and physiographic sitting. Flood is the most common event among them. North-eastern part of Bangladesh faces flash flood almost every year with large scale of damage. Tanguar Haor, a famous ramsar site of Bangladesh located in Sunamganj district. This wetland adjacent areas are the most vulnerable zone in terms of flash flood hazard. About more than 80% people are the direct victim of this hazard. This study tries to assess the risk and resilience status of flash flood using risk and resilience assessment matrix. To accomplish this research both primary and secondary data have used. Through this work the comparative view between risk and resilience status has tried to represent. That shows the actual penetration of the depth of risk reduction policy making to improve the condition and minimize the losses of flash flood in the study area.

In this paper we conceptually identify the gap in the literature about lack of business&#39;s awareness in non ‐financial activities, especially biodiversity, which can be responsible for crisis like Covid‐19 which can adversely affect the global economy. We recommend approaches to existing business about how to enhance the quality of reporting by considering non‐human element in reporting and making it more comprehensive for the stakeholders. We adopt Actor Network Theory (ANT) and the Natural Inventory Model to support our argument that nature consists of both human and non‐human. This paper seeks to present the first systematic literature review (SLR) on biodiversity and species extinction accounting publications. This strand of research is gaining increased attention due to emerging scientific evidence that finds a relationship between the human destruction of biodiversity and the recent Covid-19 crisis, causing profound economic and health impacts. This justifies the need for an SLR of forty articles from 2013-2020. Descriptive results show research contributions peaked in 2018 with the most publications appearing in the Auditing, Accounting & Accountability Journal. Results show legitimacy theory is the most applied theoretical framework with global studies and developed country specific research receiving the greatest attention. In addition, content analysis is identified as the preferred research methodology. Additionally, through synthesising and analysing literature, we provide potential opportunities for future research that is underexplored. This paper will provide a valuable study for academics, policymakers, and practitioners pursuing research in this field.

An important aspect of the Libyan conflict since the 2011 Arab Spring is the generation and management of huge volumes of construction and demolition (C&D) type waste, arising from conflict-related damage to the built environment. Estimates put the amount of Post-Conflict Waste (PCW) at about 82 million tonnes, much of which comprises potentially useful materials that could be reused or further processed and used in construction and other sectors of the economy. This paper presents and discusses the challenges that affect the use, reuse and recycling of such materials. To validate findings from literature, a pilot questionnaire survey of 70 professionals working in the waste management sector was carried out to identify the barriers constraining sustainable management of solid waste stream in three major Libyan cities. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 20.0. Based on the identified barriers, a framework for sustainable management of post-conflict waste arising in Libya has been designed in line with the medium-term infrastructure development objectives of the Libyan government. The paper recommends an urgent revision of applicable legislation and the formulation of new ones to address identified gaps in sustainable waste management. It is envisaged that results from this study will help underpin post-conflict sustainable development goals in Libya.

O estudo foi pautado na fenomenologia e traz informacoes importantes a cerca da percepcao ambiental dos participantes de varias geracoes, alem de mostra a eficacia dos espacos nao formais de educacao no aprendizado dos mais variados tipos de publicos.

As the world becomes ever-expanding through internationalization and digitization of human connection, the ideologies of global citizenship and transhumanism have become prescient political projects in the United States. Global citizenship promotes an expanded sense of self which embraces peoples and cultures from around the world and is predicted by a normative environment and global awareness (Reysen & Katzarska-Miller, 2013a). Global citizenship identification robustly predicts prosocial values related to intergroup helping and empathy, environmentalism, and social justice. Transhumanism, advocates for the use of technological advancements to improve well-being and reduce suffering in humanity (Bostrom, 2005). Transhumanists tend to promote interconnectedness of humanity and think of technological intervention as a means to manage the evolutionary trajectory of the species. The present study aimed to assess the relationship between global citizenship identification and transhumanist orientation via a survey of college students (N = 1,069). Results indicated that transhumanist orientation is a reliable, positive predictor of global citizenship identification, antecedents of identification, as well as prosocial outcomes. The findings inform the way we conceptualize identity in an increasingly globalized world facilitated by technological advancement.

Different advantages are associated with green healthcare design in our modern world. This research examines the innovations in green healthcare design in Saudi Arabia, with a particular emphasis on integrating sustainable practices in line with Vision 2030. Some of the environmental concerns that will be addressed include the high levels of energy use and waste generation and the inefficiency in resource utilization experienced by traditional healthcare systems. Results. The qualitative approach is employed to understand and appreciate the advances in green healthcare strategies, including revisiting existing research and analyses of pertinent case studies. The paper starts by discussing the origins and developments of green healthcare, explaining how it diverges from traditional models in that energy-efficient and eco-friendly processes and the use of building designs that incorporate nature are emphasized within the healthcare delivery systems. To show the implementation of the green design principles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, two case studies-As-Salam Hospital and HMG Sehat Al Sharq at Al Khobar are conducted. Conclusions. As the key findings indicate, the green healthcare system development priorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia include cutting carbon emissions and waste and promoting the healing environment through eco-friendly designs. The study shows how important architectural features are in enhancing the use of water, air, and light. The document also considers some new approaches that reduce the negative impact, such as solar energy, proper waste management, and telemedicine. A SWOT analysis determines the strength of the availability of government support, whereas financial and civic awareness is a threat. It is noted that green health system practices in Saudi Arabia are showing an upward trend, but more efforts are needed to actualize the utmost outcome, focusing on citizen's engagement, policy frameworks, and technological advancement. The research enhances the global discourse that has taken root in sustainable healthcare by explaining how new approaches can transform the healthcare business in the Kingdom.

Resumen Superadas las crisis sociales y políticas que tuvieron lugar en las décadas finales del período Preclásico, nuevas entidades comienzan a emerger en el panorama geopolítico de las tierras bajas mayas. En el caso del Petén campechano, el descubrimiento de sitios arqueológicos con vestigios de estructuras defensivas y monumentos pétreos permite inferir la configuración de una nueva realidad en la que entidades como Oxpemul parecen comenzar a despuntar. En este sitio destacan dos monumentos que preservan registro iconográfico de cautivos, las Estelas 22 y 23; estas exhiben patrones iconográficos típicos del Clásico temprano, entre los que destacan tres figuras desnudas e hincadas. Con la toma de nuevas fotografías diurnas y nocturnas de las estelas y la utilización de la herramienta computacional Reflectance Transformation Imaging, se presentan nuevas interpretaciones de los monumentos de Oxpemul; además, a través de los nuevos análisis iconográficos se proponen nuevas consideraciones sobre las dinámicas sociopolíticas regionales durante los contextos tempranos en los que Oxpemul parece jugar un papel destacable.

In this article, I am critical of decolonial theory’s negligence of the issues of nature and the environment. I work to remedy this problem by providing a decolonial analysis of the operative colonial conception nature. I argue that one of the reasons that efforts to curb human-caused environmental devastation have been ineffective is that the two popular approaches to environmentalist activism — the global warming and sustainability approaches — do not necessarily pose a challenge to the way in which we currently conceptualize nature, nor do they entail a robust ethical view. Then, I propose one potential avenue for developing an alternative, decolonial approach to nature, drawing from environmental philosopher Ricardo Rozzi’s notion of the biocultural perspective, which emphasizes the dynamic relationship between human ways of life and the diversity of non-human life. I conclude by analyzing two concrete instantiations of the biocultural perspective in a Latin American context.

Along with the economic integration and trade liberalization, Vietnam is opening its market with 100 million consumers and also business opportunities to international business and investors. Is the stock market a transparent and efficient channel for their choice? Crown ratio is the ratio of live crown length to tree height. It is often used as an important predictor variable for tree growth equation. It indicates tree vigor and is a useful parameter in forest health assessment. The objective of the study was to develop crown ratio prediction models for Tectona grandis. Based on the data set from the temporary sample plots, several non linear equations including logistics, Chapman Richard and exponential functions were tested. These functions were evaluated in terms of coefficient of determination (R 2 ) and standard error of the estimate (SEE). The significance of the estimated parameters was also verified. Plot of residuals against estimated crown ratios were observed. Although the logistic model had the highest R 2 and the least SEE, Chapman-Richard and Exponential functions were observed to be more consistent in their predictive ability; and were therefore recommended for predicting crown ratio in the stand.

This paper examines 23 recent case studies of post‐disaster settlement and shelter across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to provide examples of implementing transitional settlement and shelter as a process and how to build more capacity for such programmes. The case studies are examined by using a four‐part framework: (i) Safety, security, and livelihoods; (ii) the question “Transition to what?” in order to understand better how to connect post‐disaster programmes to permanent communities and housing; (iii) fairness and equity; and (iv) connecting relief and development, which also explores root causes of vulnerability. The main lessons identify six specific activities that should be highlighted for capacity building in transitional settlement and shelter: site selection, good governance, participatory and consultative processes, land ownership, logistics, and monitoring and evaluation. Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs), with high carboxylic acid content, were chemically modified in order to develop hydrophilic and organophilic analogues. The hydrophilic SWNTs were prepared by wrapping a water-soluble polymer, namely poly (sodium 4-styrene sulfonate) (PSSNa) around the pristine SWNTs, while the organophilic SWNTs were developed by forming amide bonds with oleylamine (C 18 H 37 N). The modification of carbon nanotubes was studied through IR spectroscopy. Moreover, the sorption properties of pristine and modified carbon nanotubes were studied by using adsorbates, which differ in polarity (i.e. water, ethanol and n-hexane). Based on these measurements it is concluded that the sorption behaviour of the SWNTs has been completely modified after the treatment, since the hydrophilic and organophilic carbon nanotubes reveal enhanced selectivity of water and n-hexane respectively.

The US and China are currently the ‘ Two Most Powerful Economic and Military Powers’ of the World.  Furthermore, while the US is the leading country of the world, China is the second economy of the world. Unfortunately, currently, while the U.S. is caught in the ‘ High-income Trap’, China also is caught into a ‘ Middle-income Trap’ that unfortunately has transformed the country into the Most Unequal Country on Earth.
Since then, even if in the short-term any further ‘ Zero Sum Game Initiative’ that benefits one could be made at the expense of the second, in the middle-term and long-term, the ‘ Zero Sum Game Initiative’ could become a ‘ Negative Sum Game’ for the two countries.
Empirically, the current US-China Trade War could lead to such outcome: ‘ Negative Sum Game’.
As a result, in order to simultaneously and respectively fix the U.S. and China High-income and Middle-income Traps on the one hand and minimize the risk of massive export of Chinese surplus of production in the Western’s Countries that is now accelerating their deindustrialization and amplifying their Socioeconomic Inequalities and justifying the current US-China Trade War and other Protectionist Mechanisms against China is about building an effective ‘ US-China Collaborative and Cooperative Framework’. In fact, such as a framework can contain the risk of external threat and any further weaponization of the risk of Political and Social Protests ’  from inside in order to destabilize China. Furthermore, the build of the ‘ US-China Collaborative and Cooperative Framework’ could also provide several beneficial effects. In fact, it’ll help the U.S and China:
- Build the require ‘ Formal and Innovative Entrepreneurship ’ that could help the U.S remain the ‘ Most Powerful High-income and Upstream Economy’ of the world while accelerating the move of China towards the ‘ Upstream Economy ’.
- Minimize the risk of uncertainty that will help them implement the ‘ Massive and Long-term Investments in Transportation, Social and Educational Infrastructures ’ needed to reduce their ‘ Socioeconomic Inequalities in Health, Education, Jobs, Income, Wealth and Residential Goods and Services ’ and become  ‘ Inclusive and Diverse Countries ’.
- Guarantee the require ‘ Macroeconomic and Geopolitics Stability ’ in order to lead the ‘ Race to AI Supremacy ’ and accelerate the internationalization of their MNCs.
Since then, the ‘ US-China Collaborative and Cooperative Framework’ could accelerate the Chin-Americanization and the West-Easternization of the Globalization on the one hand and improve the  Sovereignty, Identity, Pride and Sustained Existence of both US and China. Furthermore, it’ll simultaneously and respectively fix the US and China High-income and Middle-income Traps and make it easier for the current interdependency of the U.S and China to be shaped, structured and supported by a ‘ Win-Win Sum Game’ not a Zero Sum Game or a Negative one. However, the U.S. will be called to take some specific initiatives as well in order to capture the full potential benefits offered by this framework. In fact, in order to capture the maximum of opportunities offered by the US-China Cooperative and Collaborative Framework, the US is called to accelerate its transformation into the ‘ Most Powerful High-income and Upstream Economy ’ of the world while in the same time becoming a  ‘New Generation of Global Low-cost and Outsourcing Center of the 21st century ’ with an improved ‘ Price-based and Quality-based Competitive Advantage in Low-added, Middle-added and High-added Goods and Services’.
Fortunately, the current acceleration of the AI-related and Robotic-driven Innovation and Economy could massively and significantly use ‘ Automation, Robotic and Highly-skilled Workforce ’ in order to simultaneously produce ‘ Cost-effective (cheap), Abundant, Personalized, Clean, Green, Safe, Smart and Connected Low-added, Middle-added and High-added Goods and Services ’ simultaneously for the U.S Price-sensitive Low-income and Middle-income Households and Quality-sensitive High-income Households on the one hand and for the Low-income, Middle-income and High-income Workers of the world on the second hand. Furthermore, AI-related Technologies could accelerate the ‘Domestic Outsourcing and Offshoring’ in the US. Moreover,  AI-related and Robotic-driven Innovation and Technologies won’t only accelerate the U.S. Manufacturing Renaissance and structure, shape and support the ‘ Capital-intensive and Highly-skilled-intensive Activities’ but also will help develop ‘ New Labor-intensive Activities ’ that can offer significant jobs opportunities to the U.S. Unskilled, Low-skilled and Medium-skilled Labor Force.
By so doing, beside the above structural transformation of the US, it’ll be able as well to reduce its ‘ Trade Deficit’.
The U.S. will also be called also to fix its Increase Twin Deficits (Budget and Trade Deficits’ that has dramatically reduced its Domestic and Foreign Investments during the past 50 years and negatively affected the competitiveness of the US MNCs. minimizing the chance of the US to win the race to AI supremacy. In fact, while the Complexity Economy has started to be one the driving forces of the Service-oriented, Knowledge-intensive, Advanced Manufacturing and AI-related Economy, OEC (2024) found that overview, in 2023, the United States was the number 10 most complex economy of the world according to the Economic Complexity Index (ECI). Furthermore, according to Country and Product Complexity Rankings of Harvard University, the US is ranked 25 out of 96 when it comes to Economic Complexity Technology.

People, organisations and governments face a combination of inter-related challenges, global risks and existential threats. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) the outlook for environmental risks over the next decade is alarming, with the top four global risks in terms of severity of impact all being environmental. This Theme Paper explores areas on the agenda of the 26th International Conference on Environment Management and Climate Change. It suggests issues and questions that directors, speakers, and other participants might wish to consider ahead of the event and discuss with their peers, and highlights developments since last year’s event. Areas covered include: confronting rather than avoiding realities; environment management challenges; transition planning and corporate boards; climate change related finance; climate change anxiety, deniers and opponents; green and sustainable growth; from fragmented approaches to integrated strategies; clean energy and infrastructure for a sustainable future; innovation, digital and other technologies; pollution and water management; business, policy and climate leadership; and confronting multiple challenges. Boards and companies must cope and survive, with global challenges, risks and existential threats that may be denied or ignored by key players and ensure collaboration efforts are pursued to enhance collective capability to address them. It is questionable whether there is sufficient bandwidth to maintain order and cope with a combination of catastrophic events occurring simultaneously.

Riverine flooding is associated with not only displacement of people but also loss of property and lives in the lower course of rivers. However, there is a dearth of literature on land use and land cover within flood risk zones and safe zones within the Western Region in Kenya. Using Landsat satellite images and household surveys, this study aimed at mapping land use and land cover within flood risk and safe zones in Budalangi sub-county, Kenya. A sample size of 162 household heads was selected using stratified random sampling. Flood stage scenarios were hypothesized, and overlay analysis was done to determine the locations for evacuation and land use at risk. Descriptive data analysis was adopted to analyze data from respondents. Analyzed Landsat satellite images reveal that 39.1 % (76.2 km²) of the study area were flood risk zones, while 60.9 % (118.8 km²) were safe zones. Ninety percent (90 %, 68.6 km²) of the flood risk zones were located at altitudes less than 1144 m above sea level (a.s.l) while safe zones were located in areas with more than 1144 m a.s.l. Within the flood risk zones, 57.0 % (39.1 km²) was covered with papyrus vegetation, 19.2 % (13.2 km²) with riverine vegetation, 18.4 % (12.6 km²) with farmland, and 5.4 % (3.7 km²) with buildings or bare land. Ninety percent (90 %) of the safe regions were found within learning institutions, market centres and administrative centres. Majority of the respondents (n = 157, 96.9 %) had experienced flooding on their farmlands and some of them (n = 125, 79.6 %) indicated that floods had destroyed their crops. The flooding that occurred frequently within the study area during high rain season was mainly mitigated through terracing and use of canals. Current study concludes that flood risk zones were covered by natural vegetation while safe zones were occupied by human settlement. This study suggests that residents in flood prone areas should avoid residing within flood risk zones during rainy seasons.

La technologie des structures monolithiques (TSM) est un nouveau procédé constructif breveté au Maroc offrant des avantages notables en termes de durabilité, de résilience et d'efficacité énergétique. Cette technologie permet la production en masse de bâtiments verts de faible hauteur grâce à la conception d'un coffrage métallique monolithique avec un taux de réemploi élevé pour le collage de la structure travaillant principalement en compression. Contrairement aux approches conventionnelles de la construction, la conception architecturale et la structure porteuse sont étudiées simultanément dès la phase de la conception du coffrage car cette structure mobilise sa forme pour garantir sa stabilité. Ainsi, la conception de modèles architecturaux adaptés à la TSM revêt une importance capitale pour exploiter pleinement le potentiel de cette technologie innovante. Dans ce contexte, nous avons développé les conceptions les plus adaptés à la TSM en se basant sur une approche axée sur l'utilisateur en impliquant directement les futurs exploitants présumés à travers un questionnaire structuré pour identifier leur préférence. Ainsi 115 interlocuteurs ont été interrogés, les résultats ont été analysés et exploités pour la conception de 10 modèles différentes. Par la suite nous avons compléter le processus de design par une approche neuroarchitecturale qui a permet d'optimiser d'avantage les facteurs de conception (façades, niveaux et pièces, forme et baies, type de toiture, aménagement intérieur, espace verts, matériaux). Les 10 modèles conçus ont été ensuite exploitée pour mener une étude de tri des cartes fermés suivi par un autre entretien semi-structuré. Les préférences des utilisateurs ont été synthétisées et le design optimal adapté à la compagne marocaine a été choisi. In recent years, there has been considerable discussion on water and poverty. There is a growing recognition that there are strong linkages between water and poverty, both in terms of alleviation as well as perpetuation of poverty (resulting from mismanagement of water resources). In addition to being a basic need for survival of living beings, water is a key resource for development. With a belief that water can drive socio-economic development, many developing countries have promoted water resources over the last five decades. Huge investments have been made in water resources development to achieve several broader objectives such as economic growth, rural and agricultural development, national food security, protection against famines and intensification of land use. All these efforts are believed to have contributed to considerable reduction of absolute and chronic poverty and hunger in most developing countries.
