The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of: the role of parents with independence, the role of parents with social behavior, parenting styles of parents with independence, parenting patterns with children's social behavior, social behavior with independence, the role of parents with independence through social behavior., and parenting style with independence through social behavior. The research sample consisted of 186 children aged 5-6 years in TK Gugus Kemuning, Central Banjarmasin District. Background: Jember Regency is in 3rd place in 2022 regarding the high divorce rate, namely talaq divorce with 1,544 cases, and judicial divorce with 4,320 cases. The high divorce rate increases the number of female household heads (In Bahasa : Perempuan Kepala Keluarga (PEKKA)). They work and also care for their children. Aims: The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between PEKKA parenting style and independence in children aged 3-5 years in Jember Regency. Methods: This research is a correlative cross-sectional analytic, with a sample of 25 people, and uses a questionnaire instrument. The statistical analysis used was the Chi-square test. The results of the chi square test on the relationship between PEKKA parenting style and independence in children 3-5 years old, obtained a value of p = 0.57. The conclusion of this research is that there is no relationship between PEKKA parenting styles and the independence of children aged 3-5 years in Jember Regency

This study examines parenting and the child's independence model. The research problem is whether there is a relationship between parenting and the child's independence. The purpose of research is to determine: firstly, the type of parenting in an effort to increase the independence of the child; and the relationship between parenting models and the child's independence. The study population was a junior high school student in the city of Makassar. Data were collected through the scale/questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis statistics and statistical inferential. The results showed that: firstly the type of parenting patterns used today in relation with the independence of children are respectively: positive parenting, democratic, authoritarian, permissive, negative/unhealthy, and derelict; secondly, a positive parenting and a democratic parenting model can increase the child's independence, and finally, there is a positive and significant relationship between parenting models and the child independence.

Objectives: To find out parenting style implemented by parents of preschool children and the influence of parenting style of parents toward independence. Methods/Statistical Analysis: The research method applied was quantitative approach. The population in this research was as many as 260 students. The number of samples determined based on cluster random sampling technique was 90 students. The data collection technique was conducted by doing validity testing, reliability, instrument, normality test, linearity test and hypothesis test which are processed by using SPSS 16.0 for windows program. Findings: The research findings show that most of the parents of preschool children at Ratu Agung District of Bengkulu City implemented democratic parenting style. The percentages of independence level of preschool children were as follow: 16.67% of preschool children categorized as having high independence level, 67.78% of preschool children categorized as having moderate independence level, and 15.55% of preschool children categorized as having low independence level. There was positive and significant influence between democratic parenting style toward independence. It was proven by the value of rcalculation of democratic parenting style variable and independence variable which was 0.236, while rtable was 0.207. It can be seen that rcalculation was higher than rtable. The amount of contribution of democratic parenting style toward independence was 5.6%, while 94.4% was determined by other variables or factors which were not discussed in this research. Application/Improvements: A positive influence between democratic parenting style towards the children independence occured. The parents had better to be open-minded, close to be like friend to the children and care to their needs.

Background:The development of children's independence is important for their future competitiveness in the rapidly increasing social changes. Disturbance in the development of children's independence may have a negative future impact in adult life and children become dependent individuals. Efforts are needed to help children develop optimally. Some play groups have been introduced to meet this need in Surakarta, but no studies have been carried out to evaluate its effectiveness. This study aimed to determine the effect of play group on the independence development of preschool children while controlling for the effect of biopsychosocial factors. Subjects and Method: This was an analyticobservational study using case control design.The study was conducted at 3 kindergartens in Surakarta, Central Java, from February to April 2017. A sample of 120 kindergarten pupils were selected for this study by purposive sampling and random sampling. The dependent variable was independence development. The independent variables were play group participation status, parenting style (autoritarian, democratic, and permissive), parental education, and child age. The data were collected by a set of questionnaire and analyzed by path analysis. Results: Maternal education ≥Senior High School (b= 8.77; CI 95%= 1.89 to 15.66; p= 0.012), paternal education ≥Senior High School(b= 9.82; 95%CI = 2.70 to 16.93; p= 0.007), child age ≥5 years old (b= 5.59; 95%CI = 1.50 to 9.68; p= 0.007), participation in play group (b= 9.45; 95%CI = 2.20 to 16.71; p=0.011), and democratic parenting style (b= 0.12; 95%CI = 0.02 to 0.23; p= 0.018) increased child independence. Autoritarian parenting style (b=-0.15; 95%CI =-0.26 to-0.45; p= 0.006) and permissiveparenting style (b=-0.92;95% CI =-0.20 to 0.01; p= 0.092) decreased child independence.Participation in play group was determined by democratic parenting style (b<0.01; 95% CI <0.01 to<0.01; p= 0.039), permissive parenting style (b=0.01; 95% CI-<0.01 to<0.01; p= 0.131), paternal education ≥Senior High School(b= 0.25; 95%CI = 0.10 to 0.40; p= 0.001), and child age ≥5 years old (b= 0.18; 95% CI = 0.09 to 0.28; p<0.001). Conclusion: Maternal education ≥Senior High School, paternal education ≥Senior High School, child age ≥5 years old, participation in play group, and democratic parenting style, positively and directly affect child independence. Autoritarian parenting style and permissiveparenting style negatively and directly affect child independence.

The independence of children is the assets of childrens to become prime human resource, independence not to depend on others is one of the steps that must be trained from an early age. This study is a cross-sectional analytic study that was conducted to identify the external and internal factors that influence development of childrens independence. The study was performed on mother who had 3-5 years old child, simple random sampling selected through from 170 mother in Al-Wahyu Kindergarten School. 119 mothers were selected study's respondents. The data were collected through questionnaires. The results of the study was obtained using mulitiple logistic regression test and it showed that the factors that influence development of childrens independence in Al-Wahyu Kindergarten School, Surabaya, were gender of the child as internal factor (OR=2.91; 95% CI=1.27 to 6.64; p=0.011); parenting style as external factor (OR=1.35; 95% CI=1.10 to 1.65; p=0.004) and the number of children in the family (OR=0.48; 95% CI=0.24 to 0.94; p=0.034). From the results it can be concluded that internal and external factors have a related influence so that right parenting style that is in accordance with the gender and position of the child in the family will increase the childs independence.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perceived parental autonomy support terhadap orientasi masa depan yang dimediasi oleh determinasi diri pada remaja di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah adaptasi dari Perceived Parental Autonomy Support Scale untuk mengukur perceived parental autonomy support, Academic Motivation Scale untuk mengukur determinasi diri, dan Prospective Life Course Questionnaire untuk mengukur orientasi masa depan dalam bidang karir. Penelitian ini melibatkan 390 remaja berusia 15-19 tahun di Kota Bandung dengan status sebagai siswa. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of parenting and child position on family attachment to the independence of children in the Palangka Raya sun group TK B group Jekan Raya sub-district, Palangka Raya city. The approach of this research uses quantitative with explanatory method, namely causation. The population of this study amounted to 118 with proportional sampling techniques with a sample of 92 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire, data analysis using regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that path analysis showed that the results of the level of contribution from the path analysis from the direct relationship of parenting through family attachment to independence was found to be the level of the indirect relationship is 0.247 x 0.928 = 0.229, the indirect relationship is a positive indirect relationship of parenting old through family attachment to independence is 0.229. This means that there is an indirect relationship between parenting through family attachment to independence in the Palangka Raya sun group TK B group, Jekan Raya subdistrict, Palangka Raya city. The results of r square analysis show that 0.875 = 87.5% gives the effect of family attachment to children's independence. The results of the path analysis from the direct relationship of parenting through family attachment to independence with Standardized Coefficients beta amounted to 0.304 and 0.929, it can be seen the level of indirect relationship is 0.304 x 0.929 = 0.229 then the indirect relationship is a positive indirect relationship pattern Parental care through family attachment to independence is 0.229. The results of r square analysis show that 0.886 = 88.6% gives the influence of the position of the child through family attachment to the independence of the child.

The number of Children with Special Needs (ABK) in Indonesia reaches 4.2 million people aged between 5 to 14 years or school age. Research suggests that child independence is more popular in countries with greater wealth and a higher percentage of the educated population. Various research implications expect children's independence and compliance to increase over time in developing countries. This study aims to describe the independence of early childhood who comes from low-income families or at low socioeconomic environment. Using quantitative descriptive, data collection techniques are carried out through a questionnaire. The study population was 30 respondents from the ECE institution who were included in the list of low-income families in 2018, using an area sampling technique.
