This study examines the use of collections and services at IIT Delhi Library. A well structured 190 questionnaires were distributed among IIT Delhi users during the academic session 2008 -09, to find out the user of information resources is being provided by IIT library. The questionnaires were checked and out of 178 filled questionnaires returned, 170 (95.51%) were found fit for analysis and out of which 8 (4.49%) were considered unusable. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of use of collections and services, purpose of visit to the library; adequacy of library hours, infrastructure facilities, use and collections of documents that is, internet information resources. The paper also identifies the levels of use of various services provided, access of online databases services, database search techniques, and users' awareness about different types of library network. Highlights satisfactions with overall functions of the library. Suggestions have been given to make the collections and services more beneficial for the academic community of the mentioned Technical Institutes India as well as abroad.

This study examines the use of information sources by the users of Delhi Public Library, Delhi (India). A well structured 120 questionnaires were distributed among DPL users during the academic session 2009-10, to fi nd out the users of information resources being provided by DPL. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of use of collections and services, purpose of visit to the library; time spent in the library, physical facilities, use and collections of documents. The paper also identifi es the levels of use of various services provided, special library services, and modern techniques applied by the library. Highlights satisfactions with services and rules and regulations of the library. Suggestions have been given to make the collections and services more benefi cial for the public library users' community in India as well as abroad.

This study examines the use of collections and services at IIIT Nuzivid Library. A well structured 800 questionnaires were distributed among users during the academic session 2017, to find out the user of information resources is being provided by IIIT, Nuzivid library. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the various aspects of use of resources and services, purpose of visit to the library; adequacy of library hours, use and collections of documents that is, internet information resources. The paper also identifies the levels of use of various services provided, access of online databases services, and users' awareness about different types of library services. Features issues looked by the respondents at different parameters of the library. Recommendations have been given to make the assets and administrations more advantageous for the future scholastic group.
The study examines the use of services by the users of National Science Library (NSL), New Delhi, India. A well structured questionnaire was used to identify the impressions of NSL users towards the various aspects. 120 questionnaires were distributed among the NSL users and 108 filed were received back. The questionnaires were checked and 108 (90%) questionnaires were found fit for analysis and out of which 12(10%) were considered unusable. The present study demonstrates and elaborates a various aspects of NSL collections uses within the available resources, frequency and purposes of visit, user satisfaction within NSL services and information about documents. Further attempt has also been made to highlights the findings of the study and a few suggestions have been given based on the analysis of data.

This study deals with utilizing available information resources and services among users of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Central Library of Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, Bihar, with special reference to Information Communication Technology (ICT) applications. The study's major objectives are to know the users' frequency of library visits, the purpose of their library visit, identify users' satisfaction levels regarding library resources and services, find out the major problems encountered by the users, and know the users' suggestions etc. The study was conducted through a questionnaire-based survey method. The primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire which was circulated randomly among 120 library users. The data has been analyzed using standard statistical techniques based on filled-up questionnaires. The study reveals that the majority of users visit the library almost daily and spend at least one hour in the library. The maximum percentage of users visit the library for the purpose of issuing & returning the books. Most of the users are familiar with the information resources and services of the library. But, a lot of users are not satisfied with available information resources and ICT-based services at the library. This study is unique and new because very few studies have been conducted on this newly established Central Library of MGCU. Thus, it is an effort to fill the gap and study the utilization of information resources and services from users' perspectives. This study will be also helpful for other academic libraries to provide better ICT-based services to their users and fulfil their information resources and services need.

Introduction: The study deals with information-seeking behavior and utilisation of available information resources & services among the users of Patna University Library, Patna, Bihar, with special reference to Information Communication Technology (ICT). Purpose: We are in the age of information. The present study will answer the what, why, which, when and how questions related to information access from library users. This study will be helpful for researchers, academicians, library professionals, and policymakers to provide more ICT-based services and fulfil the information need of library users. Research Problem: This study is new and unique because very few studies have been conducted on Patna University Library. Thus, it is a small effort to fill the gap and study the information-seeking behavior of users of Patna University Library from the ICT perspective. Objectives: This study aims to know the information-seeking behavior of library users, as well as users' perception regarding the use of available library resources and services. Methodology: The study was conducted through a questionnaire-based survey method. The primary data was collected randomly through a structured questionnaire circulated among the 105 library users. The data has been analysed using simple statistical techniques based on filled questionnaires. Findings: The significant findings of the study are as most users visit the library daily; the majority of users spend three or more three hours in the library to seek information; maximum users visit the library to prepare class notes, assignments & projects; book borrow and return is the second most typical purpose among the users to visit the library; textbooks, newspapers & magazines are the most demandable reading material; most of the users prefer to seek the information in English & Hindi both languages and also prefer to use the print & electronic both formats to study; the study also reveals that majority of users are not satisfied with the existing ICT-based library services. The study reveals that there is a drastic need to implement and acquire more ICT-based information resources and services in the library.

Recognized as the realistic value and hub center of learning, libraries since their primitive stage of establishment have been imparting services in teaching, learning and research. Induction of ICT in library precipitated to a change in knowledge acquisition, organization, dissemination, representation and preservation. Further, the espousal of technology precipitated many new form of learning procedures. All the developments in libraries centre round to impart services to the users. The paper focuses the pertinent issues relating to the use of library resources by the users and services imparted by the central universities of North East, India.
An effort is made in this book to present the information on the use of library resources and services by the university students, their satisfaction with regard to various sources, services, and facilities provided by university libraries namely Andhra University Library, Vishakapatnam, Sri Venkateswara University Library, Tirupati and Osmania University Library, Hyderabad.
The present era is an information era which has its base on information and communication technologies. The ICT acts as a soul for all kinds of information processes may be it information processing, storage, maintenance and dissemination. The ICT has made its influence in all walks of life, libraries and information centres are not an exception. Use of ICT in libraries has become inevitable in an era of information explosion and the emergence of a wide range of new technologies in order to satisfy the changing complex information needs of users. The ICT has provided libraries with an opportunity to provide various information services and access to huge collection of digital information resources to their patrons at any time without any boundary of time and location. Thus the undertaken study focuses on impact of ICT in libraries. Further the study will examine the use of information communication technology (ICT) in IITs & IIMs libraries in India by investigating the ICT infrastructure, current status of library automation.
ABSTRACT Advanced Tooling and Plastics Product Development Centre (ATPDC) is Unit of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) Madurai is under Ministry of chemical and petrochemicals government of India. The ATPDC –CIPET Libraries have a major role to play in organizing information sources, arranging all types of access, bibliographic access, physical access, intellectual access and networked access to resources that help the users to find and use the information easily. This research analysis the encouragement provided for the students in library facilities and financial support for the creation of necessary infrastructure to pursue their research, publish research finding in Journal, Present their research finding in national or international conferences, present papers in seminars and also it paves a way to attend seminar and workshops that can enhance their personal growth. Libraries should be equipped with updated collection of information and services to current requirements of students, faculty and others. The Research measures and evaluates the infrastructure and information services which are provided to the users and suggests valid methods to make the library user friendly, rich information provider and career development organizer. Library Philosophy and Practice
The study investigated the ICT based library and Information services: a case study of B-schools in Delhi and NCR region. The present study demonstrates and elaborates the primary way to learn about ICTs, the purpose of using ICT enabled library services, to assess to what extent users are utilized ICT based library services and facilities, various aspects of Internet usage, favorite search engines, and problems faced by the users in using the ICT in libraries. The papers also determine the satisfaction level of users regarding research work, online database services and infrastructure facilities. Suggestions have been given to make the service more beneficial in the library users of B-schools in Delhi and NCR region.
