Consumer research largely examines television advertising effects using conventional psychological accounts of message processing. Consequently, there is an emphasis on the influence of textual content at the expense of the everyday interpersonal viewing contexts surrounding advertising audiences. To help restore this theoretical imbalance an ethnographic study was conducted in eight Australian homes to explore the influence of everyday viewing contexts on advertising audiences. This article examines how the everyday advertising contexts of social interaction, viewing space, media technology use, and time impact consumer responses to television advertising texts. Advertising viewing behavior in the family living room is framed within broader household activity and around cultural ideas regarding family life, and can enhance consumer and family identity value. Our theoretical framework details how television advertisements, everyday viewing contexts, household discourse, and viewer practices intersect to produce processes of advertising response and engagement not explicated in previous studies of consumer behavior. Jacqui Vickers, her sister Sally, and mum Sarah watch the teen soap opera Home and Away. The dinner rush is over, and all three watch the program's dramatic storyline in shocked silence. Five children (three males, two females; four right‐, one left‐handed; age range 6 to 14 years) who developed aphasia after gross‐total excision of left predominantly thalamic tumors are reported. Three patients had Broca aphasia, one had mixed transcortical aphasia, and one patient had conduction aphasia. In the months after surgery, three children improved while receiving radiation and/or chemotherapy, although none recovered completely. Two patients with malignant tumors developed worsening aphasia when the tumor recurred, and later died. Two of three patients tested had visuospatial difficulties in addition to language deficits. Attention and executive functioning were affected in three of three patients tested. Memory, verbal and/or visual functioning, were affected in four of four patients tested. A total of 258 student teachers who enrol in Special Education programme provide reponses for this study. Result shows that female student teachers demonstrate higher mean score for all skills with significant differences are reported for Critical Thinking, ICT, Leadership, Moral, and Social skills. This study aimed to enhance critical thinking skills among sixth grade student with learning difficulties in mathematics in Jordan by using the CoRT programme. The pre-test-post-test control-group design was used in the study. There was one dependent variable in this study, is, the level of students' critical thinking skills. For this purpose, a critical thinking test was administered to a sample of 93 sixth grade student with learning difficulties in mathematics from schools in First Amman Educational Directorate in Jordan, before and after a threemonth training program. The participants of the sample were distributed into two groups. After that, one group was randomly chosen to be the experimental group, and the other one to be the control group. Results showed that the training programme had a very large -sized effect on the participants' critical thinking.

Responses to questionnaire interviews of 73 men who had undergone vasectomies are discussed, and summary tables presented. The questions cover personal characteristics, the operation itself, motivational factors, and outcome of the operation. Analysis of the outcome includes pre-and postoperative physical health; sexual behavior; psychosocial adjustment factors-including marital, job, and community relationships and concern over children; satisfaction with the operation; and social behavior with regard to the operation. On most of these questions the respondent was also asked to evaluate his wife's condition, behavior, or attitude. Medical aspects of the vasectomy and postoperative sperm tests are also discussed. The struggle to become lucid is at the heart of The Myth of Sisyphus. To understand the absurd is to understand that the fit between our conception of the world and the world itself is fraught with uncertainty; lucidity is the elucidation of the absurd. To be lucid is to revolt against the type of certainty that leads to suffering; to revolt against philosophical suicide. Camus teaches us the intellectual humility that stays hands; there is no reasoning that justifies suffering. If it is granted that the ability to recognise and respond to our own and others suffering is an important part of being human, and the task of education is to develop humans, then lucidity, in so far as it holds promise for the development of such an ability, has the potential to contribute positively to education. The one major objective of education will no longer be to produce primarily a rational man or social animal; it will no longer be, as the Educational Policies Commission would have it, to discover the values inherent in rationality; rather, if we take our cue from Camus, education will have a new primary objective: to produce the moral individual-moral because, in the face of the absurd, he lucidly lives the philosophy of limits. The purpose of this study was to make a comparison of dynamic balance ability between dual and simple task conditions. [Subjects and Methods] Nine children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (9.00 ± 2.12 years) and 10 healthy children (9.67 ± 2.75 years) were recruited. Each group was asked to do an obstacle crossing alone and the obstacle crossing combined with a stimulus response task. The Qualisys motion capture system was used to capture full-body motion. The parameters measured included crossing speed, step width, and reaction time. [Results] Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder had greater problems than controls in performing the primary balance task while concurrently completing the auditory reaction time task and showed greater variability in step width and a longer reaction time. The balance scores assessed using the Movement Assessment Battery for Children test were significantly worse in the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder group and were significantly correlated to the crossing reaction time and variance of crossing speeds. [Conclusion] The attention deficit hyperactivity disorder group preferred to complete the obstacle crossings before responding to the stimulus. This resulted in a longer reaction time for the secondary task and also changed the gait strategy.

To investigate how balance changes develop across time under different conditions (with or without a memory task) for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). [Subjects and Methods] The participants were 11 children with ADHD and 12 normal children. To determine their static balance ability, a force plate was used to measure the center of the pressure trajectory. [Results] The length of the sway path became slightly greater in both groups when an additional memory task was added, but the difference was not statistically significant. However, it was interesting to note a significant difference in memory task ability across groups with increasing time. The ADHD group showed a decrease sway path with increasing time for the memory task, but in the control group it increased. [Conclusion] At first, the memory task interfered with ADHD children's performance; however, the memory task may improve their performance after a few seconds.

Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer in women worldwide. It is said that there is no proven method of preventing cancer. However, studies have shown that there are some women's lifestyle factors that have been scientifically shown to increase the risk of breast cancer. A review of the literature from the epidemiological, medical, and psychosocial disciplines strives to analyse factors that tend to increase the risk of developing breast cancer. Published material reviewed concerning the connection between breast cancer risk and lifestyle factors such as diet and physical activity. This review shows that several women's lifestyle factors have been regularly considered as risk factors for developing breast cancer. They include women who have not had children or women who had their first child at an older age, short duration of brestfeeding or not breastfeed at all, diet and nutrition, and psychological stress.

Baba-Nyonya community is a community of Chinese descent living in Malaysia and practices lifestyle of the Malay community. They have adjusted to the way of life and socio-cultural influences of their surroundings and create a culture of its own. Till now the Baba-Nyonya still follow the taboo practices and beliefs of the Malays and Chinese in their daily lives. Most previous studies discuss about Baba's everyday cultural practices but less touching on the tradition and superstitious taboo practices which they practice before and during the Chinese New Year celebrations which is also celebrated by the Baba community. Thus, this study aims to identify the tradition and superstitious taboos practiced by the Baba community before and during Chinese New Year celebrations. In addition, the study explores the social meanings behind the tradition and superstitious taboos. Based on qualitative method, this study conducted in-depth interviews and non-participant observation on six Baba-Nyonya informants in Malacca. The results showed that the Baba community practices numerous tradition and superstitious taboos from the days before and during Chinese New Year celebration. In terms of social meaning, the taboos are seen as a way to preserve the well-being and social control of the community.

The fundamental idea for this article is a review of the theoretical discussion among experts in biomedicine and the social sciences: Arthur Kleinman, Leon Eisenberg, Horacio Fabrega, Byron Good, and Andrew Twaddle, among others; on the concepts of disease, illness, and sickness. The main objective is to explore the conceptual distinction between the triad from the field of anthropology, particularly on how culturally defined concepts of ill health are created. It is generally argued that the complexity of different opinions on human ailment causes difficulty in providing a clear distinction between the triad for the use among medical practitioners, social scientists, and laymen community at large. In particular the analysis reveals that most signs or symptoms of distress are reflective of sufferers' personal and cultural experiences. They are the cultural processes of illness and sickness, rather than purely understood by medical profession as disease. Additionally, the article demonstrates that with the effort of the experts of biomedicine and social sciences, clear definitions of the different concepts of disease, illness, and sickness indicate different aspects of ill health. Finally, the author focuses the discussion on a proposal to explore how the full triad can be of use amongst laymen patients, particularly in times of physician-patient interactions over ailment diagnosis.

Qualitative research is an appropriate method for obtaining insight into situations and problems when a researcher has little knowledge concerning a research question. Applying to a cultural context of health and illness, this method is commonly used for providing in-depth description of cultural beliefs and local knowledge related to health issues, or for exploring the reasons for certain health seeking behaviours adopted by research informants. This study provides a pragmatic approach in examining the various stages of a qualitative data collection process pertaining to the aboriginal people or the Orang Asli of Malaysia. The research was conducted in three selected Orang Asli villages in the states of Selangor, Pahang and Perak of Peninsular Malaysia. A total of 55 in-depth interviews were successfully recorded during the fieldwork duration of July 2013 to January 2015. Employing face-to-face in-depth interviews and non-participant observations, the research collected data with regard to health and health seeking behaviors of the Orang Asli. The primary data were used to illustrate how various qualitative data collection methods could be used to facilitate the data collection process. Several concepts employed in data collection such as theoretical sensitivity, triangulation and verification were also elaborated.

While most cultures are a heritage of many nations most are alien and are adopted to achieve certain goals. Malawi is endowed with a rich culture but unfortunately reading is not among them. A reading nation is an informed and knowledgeable society that can contribute positively to economic transformation of its country and efforts being made in adopting the culture of reading are a manifestation. It is not surprising that the now so familiar phrase "developing a reading culture" has found itself a place amongst the media's daily vocabulary. The development of this culture should start at an early stage of childhood and nurture it to adulthood and in the process building a literate nation that can transform itself into an informed and knowledgeable society able to play their rightful role in the global village. Poor delivery of information services in the rural areas is, however, contributing highly to lower levels of educational standards and high levels of illiteracy. Further to this, the digital divide between the developed and developing nations is putting the rural masses at a great disadvantage in as far as access to relevant and timely information is concerned. A reading culture if developed at a tender age will ensure that pupils/students are well equipped to excel in their studies thereby improving the standards of education among the rural masses. In addition, deliberate efforts should be made to empower the rural masses with literacy skills that will improve their livelihoods. Innovative solutions should also be explored to provide low-cost means of accessing Information Communications Technologies which creates economic, political and social empowerment for the rural people in the developing world.

The COVID-19 pandemic compelled educational institutions to swiftly shift from conventional classroom instruction to remote and hybrid learning models, prompting the widespread adoption of digital tools and mobile apps for online education. As the world emerges from this crisis, there's a growing interest in exploring innovative ways to utilize multimedia tools for improved engagement, accessibility, and learning outcomes. Multimedia encompasses diverse content formats, including videos, interactive simulations, and online collaboration tools, offering various avenues to enhance the process of teaching and learning. This research paper investigates the role of multimedia tools in education, focusing on their utilization, and the challenges and barriers associated with their integration into classroom settings within the Jakarta District of Indonesia's higher education sector. Qualitative research methods were employed, involving interviews, observations, and documentation analysis conducted at a higher education institution in Bekasi District, Indonesia. Interviews were conducted with the educators (providing learning materials). The study discovered that the incorporation of multimedia tools, such as images, videos, animations, and interactive platforms like Kahoot, enhances students' focus, interest, and engagement, consequently improving memory retention and comprehension. The research also identified various challenges in successfully incorporating multimedia tools into the field of education, including resource limitations, digital literacy gaps, connectivity issues, lecturer's unfamiliarity with technology, lack of motivation, inadequate digital tools, subscription costs, quality concerns, and potential distractions. The paper offers practical recommendations for successful multimedia integration in classrooms, emphasizing clear guidelines, brief video content, specific tasks for students, thought-provoking questions, early material distribution, and guidance in using ICT.

Tobacco consumption is high amongst the people of Nepal. This study was carried out in 2011 in a rural community of Nepal, to compare pathological parameters associated with tobacco use in relation to nicotine metabolism between smokers, chewers, and a control group. A total of 216 volunteers provided blood and urine samples for testing nicotine metabolites, Creactive protein, and cell counts. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, correlation, and t-tests using STATA. Differences in blood pressure amongst the groups indicate a role of smoking in preventing a rise in BP with age, likely attributable to a different mechanism of metabolism of tobacco constituents.

Sleep is a basic human need, making up around one-third of our lives and being essential to the recovery of our physical well-being and general standard of living. However, poor sleep quality can interfere with these critical restorative processes, leading to disorders such as apnea and insomnia. These conditions not only impair daily performance but also have long-term health consequences. Furthermore, the challenges imposed by modern lifestyles have increased the prevalence of these sleep disorders, emphasizing the need for effective diagnostic tools. This research aims to harness the capabilities of Machine Learning (ML), specifically the Random Forest algorithm, to detect and analyze patterns indicative of sleep disorders in collected data sets. Random Forest is particularly suited for this task due to its ability to manage complex data sets by building multiple decision trees, thus creating a comprehensive and robust model for classifying sleep disorders. The findings of the study are promising, showing that the Random Forest algorithm can achieve a high level of accuracy in sleep disorder detection. The model demonstrated a test accuracy rate of 97.33%, with a precision of 96%, and a recall rate of 100%. Additionally, it achieved an F1-Score of 98% and a Kappa Score of 0.945, validating the reliability of this algorithm in producing precise classifications. This research offers significant insights into the patterns of sleep disorders and contributes to the development of targeted interventions aimed at improving sleep quality. Ultimately, this could significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals suffering from sleep disorders.

The Guitar is a very popular instrument that is commonly used by many musicians. This study focused on the factors that made the guitar more appealing to the youth in comparison to other instruments. A semi structured, open ended questionnaire was used to collect the data essential for this study. 50 male and 50 female college students were interviewed in this study. The data was thematically coded to acquire the results and conclusions. Purposive sampling was used in this research study and the average age of both male and female respondents is 19 years old. The results suggested that the guitar was more appealing to their generation, affordable to purchase and had a distinct image as a musician and songwriter. This paper reviews the literature of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a strategic performance measurement tool. The research concerning the effectiveness of BSC indicate that BSC is a useful tool for communicating strategy, strategic learning and developing organizational culture. However, related research also shows that the implementation of BSC is not associated with economic benefit particularly for short-term period. This suggests that the adoption of BSC need a careful inquiry by the organization and the organization should not accept it as a 'generic' solution as a performance measurement tool.

Este artigo elucida o que é o transtorno de déficit de atenção com hiperatividade bem como as características da criança hiperativa e suas dificuldades e desafios. Concentramos nossa atenção nas contribuições dos estudos da Neurociência para encontrarmos explicações sobre o funcionamento do cérebro da criança hiperativa com o intuito de propor estratégias para o trabalho na escola. Após estudos sobre jogos teatrais, consideramos que essas atividades são potencialmente positivas para o desenvolvimento de capacidades fundamentais na criança para que ela aprenda a controlar suas emoções e impulsos, além de uma série de outras habilidades para a vida social, emocional e cognitiva.

The compositional skills are analyzed to determine whether college students have improved their writing ability after the two years additional in the senior high school curriculum. This study examines the errors committed by first-year engineering students. There were 90 student respondents written outputs collected and subjected to Grammarly software. The researchers analyzed the data using the Scheffe test, comparing the difference between clarity, engagement, and delivery. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed to test whether there is a significant difference among other variables. Findings revealed that clarity is the most common error committed by the student-respondents. The errors committed between male and female respondents do not show a difference. The K-12 graduates' compositional errors do not differ significantly from that in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) passers or the old basic education curriculum graduates. It is in delivery that students vary. This finding implies that college students' compositional skills still need strengthening. Instructors are encouraged to provide comprehensive activities and writing exercises to both genders, regardless of their curriculum. It is recommended that university language instructors identify specific interventions to help students struggling with writing. Therefore, providing enough written opportunities and practices is vital to make college students enhance their compositional skills.

The two psychiatrists portrayed in the award-winning movie Silence of the Lambs-Dr. Hannibal Lector and his keeper, Dr. Chilton-represent two of the more prevalent caricatures of the profession: the evil wizard and the pretentious buffoon. As commonly as such stereotypes are applied to physicians, they are even more commonly applied to psychiatrists. They are conjured up perhaps most intensely in relation to those psychiatrists who sail the treacherous shoreline where psychiatry and the law meet: forensic psychiatry. This shoreline might be considered an endangered area, having survived repeated tidal waves of public sentiment to have it declared off-limits. The latest such tidal wave arose in the early 1980s, particularly in the aftermath of the verdict of "not guilty by reason of insanity" in the trial of John Hinckley, who nearly succeeded in assassinating President Ronald Reagan. Most politicians are lawyers. It is thus no surprise that lawyer/politicians often find it easier to attack psychiatrists than fellow attorneys, especially those who have become judges. As the distinguished jurist David Bazelon is said to have remarked, "The problem with forensic psychiatry in the courtroom is that the average attorney does not know how to consult the average forensic psychiatrist." Despite such barriers to open-minded consideration of forensic psychiatric testimony, the specialty of forensic psychiatry has continued to grow. Objetivos: Conocer las condiciones en que viven las familias de los niños, niñas y adolescentes beneficiarios de los Hogares Sustitutos administrados por el Comité Privado de Asistencia a la Niñez (PAN) Metodología: Se utilizó la investigación cualitativa de corte descriptivo; se privilegió el estudio de caso, utilizando la entrevista grupal y el taller cono instrumentos para recoger la información. Se investigaron 57 jefes de familias atendidas por el Comité Privado de Asistencia a la Niñez, de la ciudad de Medellín. Los resultados se enmarcan en el análisis de los componentes de la dinámica interna familiar beneficiarias, especialmente: las relaciones afectivas, la autoridad, las pautas de crianza y los roles. Conclusión: Se observan las condiciones de vulnerabilidad y precariedad de las familias de origen de los beneficiarios de los hogares sustitutos. This qualitative research aimed to explain working of outstanding nurses in Khon Kaen province, Thailand. The participants were a total of 7 outstanding nurses, community leaders, health volunteers, health care personal and local organization officers in the communities. Data were collected by using in-depth interview, focus groups, and participant observation. Content analysis was used for data analysis. It was found that working of outstanding nurses were working with happiness, inspiring outstanding nurses to work in the communities, and socialized new health generation. The work in regard with happiness was composed of 6 components; 1) Effective early detection & basic medical care, 2) promoting individual, family and community participation, 3) setting up community learning curriculum, 4) effective home visits, and 5) arranging an accessible and prompt referral system. Although studies have shown the positive effects that families have on adolescent sexual health, there are still problems with clarification and validation of sexual socialization, and the process by which parents integrate adolescents into society to promote appropriate sexual learning and sexual health of adolescents. This cross-sectional study aimed to develop a valid and reliable Sexual Socialization in Families with Adolescents Scale (SSFAS) based on a qualitative framework. The participants were 460 parents with adolescents aged 13-19 years old studying in secondary and vocational schools. Stratified multi-stage random sampling was used. This qualitative research aimed to describe important components of community based approaches of cancer prevention from working experiences of accredited health professionals in Thai rural communities. Methods: Data were collected from 23 communities with 23 accredited health professionals as key participants using in-depth interview and focus group discussions (FGDs) in each community. Other informants were community leaders, community health volunteers and community people. Content analysis was applied for data analysis. Results: Community based approaches for cancer prevention from the experiences of accredited health professionals were composed of 2 themes: approaches for community-based cancer prevention and methods for cancer-based prevention in the community. The approaches for community-based cancer prevention was composed of 4 components: 1) primary prevention focusing on health education; 2) secondary prevention include: life style modification, vaccination, advocacy of cancer screening, early detection, and prompt refer; 3) tertiary prevention focusing on primary care, and 4) research collaboration focusing on net working. Methods for cancer-based prevention in the community were different based on types of cancer. The 3 factors determined to be associated with community based approaches for cancer prevention were: 1) primary care policy; 2) hometown workplace; and 3) health practice skill. Conclusion: Community based approaches for cancer prevention should concentrate on building a literate community involvement to empower both health care providers and residents. From our evidence, dedicated community associates health professionals have a major role to play.

Since adolescents are now engaging in sexual activity in their early years, sexual behavior needs to be explored to prevent contact with HPVs and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD), including cervical cancer. This qualitative study aimed to explore this question from adolescents' view points in their natural context. The participants were 19 individuals aged 13-19 years living in rural families in Khon Kaen province, Thailand. The preliminary findings indicated that factors contributing to low sexual risk behavior were helping family to do housework, an emphasis on learning, listening to parents, and following their advice. Adolescent behavior leading to high sexual risk included being very close to friends, having a wide social circle, going out for enjoyment at night time, returning home late at night, drinking alcohol, smoking, paying less attention to learning, not listening to parents, and not following their advice. Sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD) merupakan sistem informasi akademik berbasis web pada Universitas Sahid Jakarta yang saat ini digunakan untuk membantu penyelenggaraan kegiatan pengisian Kartu Rencana Studi (KRS), pengambilan Kartu Hasil Studi (KHS), penjadwalan kuliah, validasi dosen penasihat akademik, informasi beasiswa, informasi pembayaran kuliah, dan pendaftaran wisuda. Namun, saat ini belum diketahui sejauh mana keberhasilan dari SIAKAD yang telah diimplementasikan dan adanya permasalahan berupa keinginan Universitas Sahid Jakarta membangun sistem informasi manajemen kampus yang handal dan go online, serta menciptakan manajemen sistem kampus yang terkomputerisasi sehingga dapat dirasakan manfaatnya oleh civitas akademik, penambahan fitur terhadap SIAKAD sebelum diajukan terhadap SEVIMA terlebih dahulu pihak Universitas Sahid Jakarta perlu mengetahui berdasarkan kebutuhan yang diperlukan user. Salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan sebuah sistem yang diterapkan adalah dari sisi persepsi penggunanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan dan mengetahui variabel yang signifikan terhadap keberhasilan Sistem informasi akademik dengan menggunakan pendekatan DeLone and McLean IS Success Model dan TAM yang diadaposi dari penelitian Laksono (2017) mengkombinasikan hubungan jalur variabel Service Quality terhadap Perceived Ease of Use karena menurut kualitas yang diberikan oleh sebuah website dapat mempengaruhi bagaimana tingkat kemudahan dalam penggunaannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, penyebaran kuesioner secara online dengan 30 pernyataan, dan analisis data demografis dengan Microsoft Excel 2013 sedangkan analisis PLS-SEM dengan SmartPLS 3.2.8. Hasilnya dari 12 jalur hubungan variabel, 3 hubungan jalur variabel dinyatakan tidak signifikan dan ditolak karena nilai path coefficient dan T-test (System Quality, Information Quality) kurang dari 0.1 dan 1.96, sedangkan 9 hubungan jalur variabel dinyatakan signifikan dan diterima karena nilai path coefficient dan T-test dari kesembilan jalur hubungan variabel tersebut berada di ambang batas yaitu 0.1 dan 1.96. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi menjadi salah satu bahan pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan pihak penyedia layanan sistem informasi akademik untuk dapat diterapkan lebih maksimal.

The purpose of this research is to broaden the understanding of how resilience influences employee career commitment in the world of work mediated by work engagement and moderated by role modelling. A quantitative study using an online questionnaire was conducted on 415 millennial generation respondents who worked in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in Indonesia. Structural Equation Method (SEM) using AMOS was used to analyze the hypotheses. The analysis's findings indicated that work engagement's mediating effect on resilience to career commitment had a positive and significant effect. Analysis findings also revealed that the role of role modelling as a moderator was able to strengthen the link between ego-resilience and career commitment through work engagement. FMCG companies need to pay attention to and improve employee resilience which in turn will increase employee work engagement, and ultimately affect employee career commitment.

Equal representation of women in the workplace is considered as a condition that is favorable to women's interests and not only a demand for fairness or democracy. Increasing the participation and involvement of women in all fields of work has become one of the discourses that has been continuously debated in Indonesia so far. This research focuses on describing the tone of gender equality in terms of the employment performance of women in mining sector companies. This study uses an exploratory qualitative approach as a methodology that provides an analysis of philosophical assumptions about the phenomenon of gender equality in the mining sector. Discrimination experienced by women workers in mining companies includes additional assignments, verbal harassment, and opportunities to express opinions. Additionally, women often take professions that are not their responsibility, and their educational history affects how well-suited they are to their jobs. Discrimination against women workers has been able to be resolved using different strategies. Opportunities for opinions that women workers get have succeeded in solving both individual problems and work team problems. Colleagues are often quite cooperative providing a work environment where women workers are able to express opinions and solutions.

Employees' response to organizational change remains pivotal in determining the success of change initiatives, especially within public sector organizations. This study aims to explore the determinants of change readiness among civil servants. Data was gathered through surveys of 350 civil servants involved in organizational change processes. Various factors influencing change readiness were identified, and their direct impact was assessed. Furthermore, the study delved into the mediating role of adaptability in the relationship between these factors and change readiness. Results indicate that organizational identification exerts a positive yet statistically insignificant influence on employees' change readiness, while managerial climate significantly impacts employees' change readiness. Adaptability emerged as a mediator between these factors and employees' change readiness. This research contributes to understanding the determinants of employees' adaptability and change readiness, offering valuable insights into human resources management and organizational development.
