Ms. Rousseau felt that they were the only ones who really knew what they said and they had no idea what an individual typed into the minutes. She felt a responsibility to the citizens of Portsmouth to make sure they get the most accurate minutes possible and that minutes should not be approved without the Board seeing the changes made. Chairman LeBlanc noted that the minutes had been approved as corrected and the corrections were made in accordance with the tape that was made of the meeting. The corrected minutes could be viewed in city hall or on line. The purpose of this research is to broaden the understanding of how resilience influences employee career commitment in the world of work mediated by work engagement and moderated by role modelling. A quantitative study using an online questionnaire was conducted on 415 millennial generation respondents who worked in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in Indonesia. Structural Equation Method (SEM) using AMOS was used to analyze the hypotheses. The analysis's findings indicated that work engagement's mediating effect on resilience to career commitment had a positive and significant effect. Analysis findings also revealed that the role of role modelling as a moderator was able to strengthen the link between ego-resilience and career commitment through work engagement. FMCG companies need to pay attention to and improve employee resilience which in turn will increase employee work engagement, and ultimately affect employee career commitment.

This study investigates the link between perceived public support for entrepreneurship and individuals' entrepreneurial intention. Using samples from the US and Poland, we show that positive perception of public support is indirectly related to entrepreneurial intentions of university students. This takes place through relationships with personal attitude to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and risk attitudes. Such links are explained by the reciprocity theory wherein individuals' attitudes and beliefs are associated with a feeling of mutuality towards the supportive actions of society. From a cross-national perspective, we find that while perceived public support exhibits similar relationships across Poland and the US, attitude to risk has a greater positive association with entrepreneurial intentions among US students. These findings hold important implications for theory and practice.

This seminar is aimed to support students who wish to develop their Master Thesis in the field of Organizational Behavior. It will provide an overview of the most relevant and recent theories/models regarding the dynamic of Individuals in Organizations, focusing in the individual attributes of workers (Attitudes, Needs and Motivations, Personality Traits, Psychological capital: hope, optimism, resilience, self-efficacy) and how they affect their individual performance, motivation and work engagement. This Seminar targets students who wish to understand how these variables affect the group and individual performance, and to boost their ability to promote more positive and successful working contexts, as well as developing the individual traits associated to higher levels of work engagement, internal motivation and performance.

This qualitative research advocates for prioritizing Critical and Creative Thinking in professional design over empathy. The study involved 74 undergraduate Product Design and Engineering students from Brazil, Portugal, and India to explore the relationship between these thinking skills and sustainability. The students' Critical and Creative Thinking levels were evaluated using rubrics developed by Shively et al. ( ) and a multi-level framework developed by Ceschin & Gaziulusoy (2019) was applied to identify sustainable innovation levels. The research highlights the need to enhance tertiary students' skills in addressing wicked problems, a concern recognized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development for the 21st-century workplace. This research contributes to the ongoing debate on the significance of Critical and Creative Thinking in professional design practice and emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability considerations into design education.

The present study investigated the impact of team identification and team-sponsor fit on the sponsor's brand equity. The study's main theoretical references are (a) the Social Identity Theory ; (b) the Schema Theory ) and (c) the Associative Network Theories , both about the functioning of the human memory; and (d) customer-based brand equity . Research was conducted in Porto Alegre, RS, a Brazilian city where rival football (soccer) teams Grêmio and Internacional share their main sponsors, Banrisul and Unimed, since 2001 and 2002, respectively, a rare context that was previously studied only once before . The valid sample comprised 2,000 fans of both teams. The sample was non-probabilistic with equal gender and team quotas. Data analysis was performed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA); and the reliability, convergent, discriminant and nomological validity of the constructs were verified. To test the substantive hypotheses, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the ADF technique was applied. The empirical results suggest that, in the studied context, the sponsor's brand equity is more influenced by teamsponsor fit than by team identification, which is different from a non-rivalry sponsorship context.

Theories of delinquency posit two opposing views on the social interactions of deviant individuals. Social control theory assumes that deviants have poor relationships with others. Cultural deviance theory assumes that deviant individuals are similar to nondeviants and have strong ties with members of their friendship networks. These theories have not been empirically tested for male and female users of illicit drugs. Descriptive and multivariate analyses are reported here for young adult men and women aged 28 to 29, who were asked about their same-sex and oppositesex friends in general and three speci3c close friends. Few diferences were found in the characteristics of friendship networks of illicit drug users and nonusers. Where differences were observed. the frequent users tended to have more intimate friendships than other young adults, which supports the cultural deviance perspective. Structural equation models predicting two latent components of intimacy, confiding and interacting, with the three closest friends and same-sex and opposite-sex friends indicate that, controlling for other determinants of intimacy with friends, illicit drug use retains a unique effect and predicts substantially higher levels of intimacy among males. The strong social ties of adult drug-using males will make it more diflcult to develop effective intervention strategies targeted toward individual users.

One of Brexit’s aftermaths, has affected those UK residents who had been identified as ‘EU
citizens’ prior Brexit, and re-identified as ‘immigrants’ after Brexit. Based on the case of 30 in-
depth interviews with Greeks (European citizens), residing in UK between 5 and 20 years, this
study explores identity transition as participants negotiate their citizenship and immigration
identities. The main findings of this phenomenological study depict four aspects of identity
negotiations (primarily involving ethnic, citizenship and immigration identities): a) erroneous
resemblance between civic and cultural European identity, b) tendencies of prejudice
towards non-European identities, c) coherent albeit unproblematic lack of belonging towards
the host culture and d) underlying conflicting identity perceptions and experiences signalling
ongoing identity(ies) in transition.

Religious symbols have their own meaning in every religion and culture. They are used to arouse emotions and create motivation among the masses. There are both positive and negative effects of religious symbols on the brain. It is important to explore the importance of religious symbols in the development of personality as religions drive the person in times of grief and happiness. Religiosity played a vital role in giving peace of mind and in the mental wellbeing of people. This study focuses on the importance of religious symbols among the Shia Muslims of Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan in creating motivation, emotions, and mental well-being. The perception of rejection is a crucial factor for minorities’ feelings of belonging toward their ethnonational identities that can be more critical for their political participation than the legal frameworks of naturalisation (i.e., becoming a citizen). In social psychology, however, researchers mainly examine perceived discrimination by quantifying its subjective level, as if it is a unidimensional phenomenon. However, the source and cause of rejection matter for intergroup relations. In pilot study, we elaborated rejection with two sub-factors, namely the appraisal of threat and causal attribution via experimental vignettes in a pre-registered survey experiment (N = 217). We showed that the locus of causal attribution changes dual identification via latent measures among a Turkish postmigrant sample. Background: Rare diseases are an often chronic, progressive and life-limiting group of conditions affecting more than 30 million people in Europe. These diseases are associated with significant direct and indirect costs to a spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from individuals and their families to society overall. Further quantitative research on the economic cost for children and their families living with a rare disease is required as there is little known on this topic. This scoping review aims to document the extent and type of evidence on the economic impacts of living with a rare disease for children and their families. Communicating the scientific consensus that climate change is real increases climate change beliefs, worry, and support for public action in the US. Recent science goes beyond the mere reality of climate change—there is now broad agreement that climate change is a crisis. In this preregistered 27-country experiment (N = 10,527), we tested two scientific consensus messages, a classic message on the reality of climate change and an updated message additionally emphasizing the crisis status agreement. The classic message corrects misperceptions and slightly increases climate change beliefs and worry but not support for public action. The updated message is equally effective but provides no added value. Both messages are more effective for audiences with lower message familiarity and higher misperceptions, including those with lower trust in climate scientists and right-leaning ideologies. Indonesian students who study in Singapore experience a lot of cultural shock. This happened because of the many differences in the education system between Indonesia and Singapore. This study aims to analyze the cultural shock experienced by Indonesian students in Singapore. The research applied a qualitative descriptive research method that using library research based on Sverre Lysgaard (1955) theory, some Indonesian students who are still in college and have also graduated from college in the last 5 years in Singapore became the object of research in the internet site "Quora" about how it's like studying in Singapore. The result shows that many Indonesian students experience cultural shock based on the opinions or comments given in the comments column. The percentage of stages experienced by Indonesian students shows that the honeymoon stage is 20%, frustration stage is 30%, adjustment stage is 20%, and also adaptation stage is 30%. There are many differences in the education system in Indonesia and Singapore which are the main challenges in getting an education, one of which is about activities in learning and the attendance system in class. Jeeunibhag is a share in the ancestral property conferred on the person for his/her maintenance, in lieu of the ancestral share. There is the existing practice of providing Jeeunibhag to senior citizens during property partition in Nepali society. This research tends to explore the understanding of the concept of JeeuniBhag among senior citizens, the existing practice system, and changes in the life of senior citizens due to Jeeunibhag. This research paper is prepared by following a descriptive research design among twenty participants in Makawanpur district of Nepal. This research used both primary and secondary sources of information and interviews were conducted of senior citizens and key informants using the qualitative method of data collection. While many factors determine aging care, Jeeunibhag is also found to be one of the dominant factors for senior citizens. Provision of Jeeunibhag were found to be empowering senior citizen providing social and financial security to them which could be used as a better negotiating instrument against family members to receive senior citizen care services. However, Jeeunibhag also brings several adverse effects in the lives of senior citizens as friction in family relationships, loneliness, and a decrease in freedom of decision-making. From this research, it is hoped that senior citizens, policy makers in local government, and future researchers will get a clear picture of JeeuniBhag in the context of Makawanpur district and preserves the best practice of Jeeunibhag to ensure better ageing care services for family and government level.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of the intervention based on the increasing awareness of psychosocial pathologies due to premature marriages on the mothers and daughters’ attitude in Roshtkhar. The study was conducted in the framework of a Quasi-experimental design of two-group type with pretest-posttest and a one-month follow-up. The population of the study consists of all mothers and daughters of Roshtkhar; and the sampling was done through a cluster-random method. The subjects were divided into two groups of experimental and control. The subjects in the experimental group received the educational interventions for mothers and daughters, but the control group did not receive any intervention. A la suite de cette constatation, nous nous sommes questionnee sur les caracteristiques de la maturite, pour realiser qu'il s'avere difficile d'en cerner les limites. Nous avons egalement decouvert que celui qui detient le pouvoir d'ainsi caracteriser cette generation est l'individu dont l'identite se determine par le critere « adulte ». Dans le contexte actuel, il s'agit du baby-boomer (ne entre 1945 et 1965), en Foccurrence le parent de l'individu membre de la generation X, ce qui explique en partie le phenomene. Toutefois, au-dela du clivage generationnel, les sociologues comme Jean-Pierre Boutinet et Claude Dubar offrent des outils conceptuels permettant de proposer une definition plus ouverte de la maturite, basee sur la realisation de soi. Selon cette perspective, le concept de projet tel que defini par Boutinet constitue un mode d'action efficace pour acceder a une identite mature. Puisqu'un bon nombre de romans ecrits par des auteurs de la generation X dans les annees 2000 represented le personnage principal en artiste, nous proposons d'etudier le rapport metonymique entre le projet artistique et le devenir adulte. Le choix de notre corpus s'est arrete sur cinq romans dont les personnages principaux, aux prises avec une problematique identitaire reliee a la maturite, s'investissent dans un projet artistique qui occupe une place considerable dans la trame narrative. Le personnage de Mauve de Ce qu 'il en reste, de Julie Hivon, est peintre et reussit a cumuler, au fil du roman, les statuts de travailleuse, de mere et d'artiste consacree. La romanciere et scenariste M. du Degout du bonheur de Melikah Abdelmoumen, quant a elle, oscille entre confrontation et conformisme a l'ordre adulte pour enfin arriver a se realiser a travers se projets artistiques sans toutefois quitter la marginalite (trait associe a l'immaturite) qui la caracterise. Enfin, le singulier personnage eponyme des trois premiers tomes du cycle romanesque Vortex Violet, de Christian Mistral, atteint la reconnaissance du public et de 1'institution litteraire sans jamais arriver a assumer ses responsabilites d'adulte et de pere. Pour chacun des romans, ce memoire dresse le portrait du personnage principal, puis du groupe adulte auquel est octroye le pouvoir de determiner les caracteristiques de la maturite. Enfin, notre etude se penche sur le parcours des personnages vers la maturite a travers l'achevement de leur projet artistique. A juventude é um período do ciclo vital construído pelo meio social e influenciado por múltiplos fatores, transformando-se conforme as mudanças contemporâneas. Este estudo, de caráter qualitativo busca conhecer as possibilidades de ser jovem(ns) identificadas por mulheres entre 15 e 29 anos de idade, a partir da experiência da maternidade. Foram realizadas sete entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestantes que estavam em acompanhamento pré-natal em uma Unidade de Saúde (US) de um Município do Vale do Taquari/RS. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2012) e categorizados em quatro unidades de análise. A maternidade neste período da vida, caracteriza-se como uma experiência singular e subjetiva, assim como os sentidos atribuídos ao tornar-se mãe. Evidenciou-se a valia de espaços de cuidado designados à jovens gestantes, que além de dúvidas, carregam inúmeras fantasias, medos e expectativas relacionadas à maternidade.

Implementation and adoption of video consultations (VCs) in healthcare are not straightforward. Experiences of initiating a VC could increase our understanding of adoption by patients. This study aims to report patients' experiences of installing and booking a VC in primary care. Most people found it easy to find and install the VC application. Those with a higher self-reported ability and habit of using digital services and the internet found it easier than those reporting lower ability and habit. About half of our respondents had booked their recent VC themselves, most of whom had done so through a telephone call or the application "Alltid Öppet". The booking process was perceived to be easy by most but more difficult compared to installation. The easy installation process might have led to higher adoption by older people. Nevertheless, during implementation more support should be provided to people with lower digital service and internet use abilities and habits as they might find VC set-up more difficult. More attention should be given to the booking process as it may be a barrier potentially influencing adoption.

There are many different ways that people can express their support for the animals that exist in factory farms. This study draws on insights from the social identity approach, and adopts novel methods (latent profile analysis [LPA]) to examine the qualitatively different subgroups or profiles that comprise broader community positions on this issue. North American participants (N = 578) completed measures of the frequency with which they engaged in 18 different animal welfare actions. LPA identified 3 meaningful profiles: ambivalent omnivores (n = 410; people who occasionally limited their consumption of meat/animal products), a lifestyle activist group (n = 134; limited their consumption of animal/meat products and engaged in political actions), and a vegetarian radical group (n = 34; strictly limited their consumption of animal/meat products and engaged in both political and radical actions). Membership of the 3 populations was predicted by different balances of social identities (supporter of animal welfare, vegan/vegetarian, solidarity with animals), and markers of politicization and/or radicalization. Results reveal the utility of adopting person-centred methods to study political engagement and extremism generally, and highlight heterogeneity in the ways that people respond to the harms perpetrated against animals.

Empathy shapes the landscape of our social lives. It motivates prosocial and caregiving behaviors, plays a role in inhibiting aggression, and facilitates cooperation between members of a similar social group. Thus, empathy is often conceived as a driving motivation of moral behavior and justice, and as such, everyone would think that it should be cultivated. However, the relationships between empathy, morality, and justice are complex. We begin by explaining what the notion of empathy encompasses and then argue how sensitivity to others' needs has evolved in the context of parental care and group living. Next, we examine the multiple physiological, hormonal, and neural systems supporting empathy and its functions. One troubling but important corollary of this neuro-evolutionary model is that empathy produces social preferences that can conflict with fairness and justice. An understanding of the factors that mold our emotional response and caring motivation for others helps provide organizational principles and ultimately guides decisionmaking in medical ethics.

Practices of governance play a significant role in attaining a high-quality workforce. Establishment of organizational governance has created a definition of human governance. Human governance is a critical factor for enhancing employee satisfaction and ethical conduct in the automotive service sector. The Malaysian automotive industry grew in terms of revenue, production, jobs and local content but failed to enforce honesty in the organization's employees. Corruption is one of the crucial problems in creating a responsible government, considering that it is an indicator that something has occurred in the organization's management. The best approach to addressing this problem is by combining the effort to curb corruption with consideration from the viewpoint of good governance. This paper suggested exploring the relationship between human governance and the risk of corruption. This paper would provide some insight into the effect that determinants of human governance are being used as elements that should lead to combating corruption in the automotive service sector.

The decrease in the average age of marriage and the increase in loneliness among women in Algeria is a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly visible in society. In the coming years, the number of single people will increase. This article analyses the factors leading to increased loneliness among women aged 40 and over in Algeria based on data from the MICS6/2019 survey. The minimum age threshold was chosen because it corresponds to the age after which the probability of first marriage is almost zero based on Algerian statistics. The methodology of this study is stepwise Wald logistic regression. The paper built regression models based on two samples: the first (24,681 women aged 40 and over) and the second (4,329 women aged 50-54). For an empirical study of loneliness among women, it is proposed to analyze the following determinants: type of employment, type of social protection, place of residence, level of education, and age. Based on the results of the research, four main conclusions were formed. First, the odds of being single are 14.1 times and 4.23 times higher among job-seeking and working women, respectively, compared to non-working women. Due to the loss of hope to get married, women choose career development instead of building a family union. Under these conditions, women integrate into the labor market late. Since most of this category is unemployed and not of retirement age, they have low health insurance coverage. Based on this, to create decent living conditions for single women aged 40 and older, it is advisable to launch a program to improve the qualifications of these women, find ways to integrate them into the working environment and provide them with health insurance. Secondly, the long-term trend indicates that loneliness as a psychological phenomenon will increase every year in society, which will, accordingly, contribute to the strengthening of the imbalance in the marriage market. Late marriage and declining fertility are indicators of new patterns of behavior brought about by economic and social change. Thirdly, the level of well-being is also a statistically significant factor influencing the loneliness of women. Middle-class women are 1.27 times more likely to be single than upper-class women. Fourth, the survey revealed significant regional differences. Women in Algeria's north-eastern and north-central regions are more likely to remain single. These results can be further explored through qualitative research.

The aim of this study was to explore apology and non-apology strategies of Iranian Azerbaijani EFL pre-university students in EFL. Data were collected from 100 participants (50 males, 50 females) studying at advanced level of English ranging between 16 and 18 years of age. The research design was a qualitative method and an open questionnaire namely Discourse Completion Test (DCT), role play, and interview were used to triangulate the data. The variables under study were gender, social distance, and social dominance (power). The data collected through the methods were examined for statistical figures based on Cohen and Olshtain (1981) and frameworks. The results revealed that Iranian Azerbaijani EFL students were explicit in their apologies and intensified them to enrich the realization of apology act. Like two context-external variables namely social distance and social dominance (power), gender was a significant factor and there was an influence of Azerbaijani language (L1) on Iranian Azerbaijani EFL pre-university students' use of apologies. Although explicit, intensified and polite strategies were offered to strangers, less formal and non-apology strategies were used to close friends. Besides, IFIDs, apology, and fewer non-apologies were applied to people of higher social status. Studies have shown that self-efficacy is the belief in one's ability to complete a task or achieve a goal, and that this belief can have a significant impact on teaching methods and learning outcomes. Yet, in the context of South Africa, despite the promotion of indigenous languages in Foundation Phase (FP) classrooms, learners continue to struggle on account of low teacher self-efficacy. Underpinned by Bandura’s social cognitive theory, this study used a literature review methodology to explore the self-efficacy-related challenges confronting FP teachers in assessing learners using their indigenous languages. The study also examined the strategies that can used to enhance teachers’ self-efficacy. This research was motivated by the researcher's anxiety about the nation's problems that seem to never end from social conflicts related to ethnicity and religion, because of the attitude of sectoral egoism and intolerance towards diversity. The people of Banuroja are very aware of the impact of risks if social conflict befalls their citizens. This can happen due to a lack of understanding in accepting diversity as a necessity. Their critical readiness has been built very strongly, where seeing diversity is not a threat to people's lives. Therefore, it is important to strengthen social integration in multicultural societies as practiced by the Banuroja community. This study aims to describe the efforts of the Banuroja multicultural community in strengthening social integration in order to avoid the threat of conflict in their communities. This research used a qualitative approach with ethnographic study methods. The results showed that strengthening social integration in the multicultural society of Banuroja was carried out through (1) Strengthening tolerance in the midst of community diversity; 2) Prevent the emergence of sectoral egoism and foster an attitude of solidarity; and 3) Strengthening the role of community leaders as unifier from the threat of social conflict.

Resilience is influenced by personal and environmental risk and protective factors that are unique in each context. The constant socio-cultural changes affect the educational context and may lead to new factors associated with teachers' resilience. To this end, the present study aimed to examine the risk and protective factors of resilience in Greek general and special education teachers and how they are incorporated into the strategies they use to face adversities in their workplace. Qualitative data were collected from 15 general education and 11 special education teachers. Content Analysis was used to analyse the data. Results indicated that new risk factors have emerged, however, there were only minor differences in the prioritization of risk and protective resilience factors between general and special education teachers. The study also provided insights into the strategies used by teachers to deal with their working challenges and enhance their resilience. As a result, teachers' resilience has emerged as an important area of research, especially in countries where high burnout and resignation levels have been observed in the teaching profession . In this context, the international literature places particular emphasis on examining the risk factors that impede teachers' well-being (e.g., . Only recently researchers have begun to shift their focus on the protective factors that enhance teachers' resilience and help them retain their commitment to their profession (e.g., Peixoto et al., 2019;. However, the fast-growing literature on the protective factors of resilience includes limited studies addressing specifically special education teachers (e.g., . In addition, both in international and Greek literature, only a few studies examine the strategies employed to preserve and/or enhance teachers' resilience in general (GE) and special (SE) education (e.g., . As a multidimensional social construct, resilience is influenced by factors that are unique in each cultural context and are often not being evaluated in the already existing instruments . In other words, socioeconomic changes may affect the type and/or importance of the protective and risk factors of teachers' resilience. It requires access to the subjective experience of the teachers in order to investigate the multiple manifestations of the protective and risk resilience factors. Taking the above into consideration the present study was designed to address these limitations through a qualitative approach. Journal of School and Educational Psychology Specifically, it aims to examine the risk and protective factors and the strategies of resilience in GE and SE teachers and to elaborate on how they differ from the ones reported in the international literature. Kumpfer's resilience framework aimed to describe the processes of resilience with a framework that included risk and protective factors and highlighted the interaction between the environment and the personal factors in building resilience . The model was built based on earlier models of social ecology, to create a metatheory and/or a comprehensive framework of the characteristics and processes that influence an individual's resilience. The model begins with an initial event, which may be a stressor or a challenge that causes an interruption in the homeostasis of the individuals, and requires a response in order to maintain their equilibrium . The initial event marks the beginning of the reintegration that results in an outcome, which may be either positive or negative. This transactional model includes four main areas of influence and two dynamic processes that form six major predictors of resilience (Kumpfer, 1999): The four areas of influence are, (a) the stressors or challenges, (b) the environmental context (external risk and protective factors such as community, family, peers, etc.), (c) the internal risk and protective resilience factors (cognitive, emotional, spiritual, physical, behavioural), and (d) adaptation (resilient versus maladaptive reintegration). The process includes (a) the individual-environment interaction process and (b) the individual-outcome interaction process. The risk factors of teachers' resilience can be categorized into three main areas: a) those related to the students' and classroom management, b) those related to the organizational structure and the working conditions and, c) the relationships with or lack of support from colleagues. More specifically, classroom and/or student behaviour management is one of the major risk factors for general and special teachers' well-being that impedes teachers from coping with challenges . Students' lack of motivation and effort, lack of respect, and in many cases their violent behaviours cause teachers to spend considerable time on behaviour management issues . In the Greek educational context, a large number of students and the heterogeneity of classrooms, student's behaviour and progress and the differentiation of teaching methods based on the educational needs of each student are factors that cause additional pressure on general and special education teachers . International studies found that not being involved in school decisions and not having sufficient support from the school administration (Ainsworth & Oldfield, 2019; are among the most important challenges that teachers face in their working environment. More specifically, in the special education context, studies have found that role conflicts, emotional requirements, complexity in implementing the curriculum, and working hours have the potential to notably predict stress and emotional exhaustion among special education teachers (Onuibo et al., 2018;. Similarly, studies in the Greek educational context have found that among the major sources of stress for Greek general and special teachers are the organization and implementation of the school program, encompassing favouritism from government and school administration, time constraints, and availability of resources and equipment . Finally, competitive attitudes between colleagues and managing difficult relationships with peers have been reported among the risk factors of teachers' resilience. found that teachers report to a high degree the lack of cooperation and support from their peers as a risk factor for their resilience. The same factors have been identified in studies in the Greek educational context. In Platsidou and Agaliotis's (2008) study, collaboration with other special education experts was cited as one of the factors that created moderate stress for teachers, while Antoniou and his colleagues (2023) found that the level of support received from parents and society may cause additional stress to general and special education teachers. Many teachers are affected by the same factors and conditions that lead some of their colleagues to leave teaching, but, instead, they choose to stay in the profession. These teachers exhibit characteristics of resilience.

Recent research has identified factors influencing the choice of a special education career; however, it has not thoroughly examined their connection with personality traits and identity status. Thus, the present study was designed to explore how different personality traits and identity statuses correlate with the motives and perceptions associated with the choice to teach in special education. The study involved 209 pre-service special education teachers. The NEO-Five Factor Inventory was used to measure the Big 5 personality traits. The Ego Identity Process Questionnaire assessed identity commitment and exploration. The Factors Influencing Teaching Choice Scale was used to evaluate motivations and perceptions about teaching. Regarding the factors that influenced the decision to pursue a career in special education, intrinsic value, shaping children's future, social equity, making social contributions, working with children, task demands, and job satisfaction were highly rated. Additionally, extraversion, openness to experience, conscientiousness, and identity statuses were identified as positive predictors for certain factors influencing the choice of a teaching career in special education. Finally, the study identified two distinct groups of students: "Identity Achievers" characterized by high positive personality traits, and identity commitment, and "Identity Explorers" characterized by lower positive personality traits and higher identity exploration. Differences were observed between the groups in their motives and perceptions concerning teaching in special education. In conclusion, this study highlights the relationships between personality, identity status, and career decision factors, offering insights into the factors that influence this critical career decision among future special educators. Directions for future research are discussed.

Social class shapes relational realities, which in turn situate and structure different selves and their associated psychological tendencies. We first briefly review how higher class contexts tend to foster independent models of self and lower class contexts tend to foster interdependent models of self. We then consider how these independent and interdependent models of self are situated in and adapted to different social class-driven relational realities. We review research demonstrating that in lower social class contexts, social networks tend to be small, dense, homogenous and strongly-connected. Ties in these networks provide the bonding capital that is key for survival and that promotes the interdependence between self and other(s). In higher social class contexts, social networks tend to be large, far-reaching, diverse and looselyconnected. Ties in these networks provide the bridging capital that is key for achieving personal goals and that promotes an independence of self from other. We conclude that understanding and addressing issues tied to social class and inequality requires understanding the form and function of relationships across class contexts.

Individuals experiencing superstitions respond with varied emotions. Do individuals experiencing negative superstitions respond with negative emotions, while individuals experiencing positive superstitions will respond with positive emotions? How is emotional arousal depicted when people experiencing superstitions? This study aimed to determine the emotional responses associated with negative and positive superstitions and the description of emotional arousal. The research design used was descriptive quantitative research. The population for this study consisted of Javanese individuals with a sample size of 192 subjects. The research respondents were selected using incidental sampling techniques and were given questionnaires to collect the data. The instruments used in this study were treatment and data collection instruments. The results of descriptive analysis revealed that individuals experiencing negative superstitions had emotions of fear, calm, non-specific emotions and guilt. Furthermore, individual experiencing positive superstitions had the emotions of calmness, hope, gratitude and joy. The level of emotional arousal when experiencing negative superstitions was categorized as medium, whereas the level of emotional arousal when experiencing positive superstitions was categorized as high.

Today employment providers consider the digital reputation of job applicants as one aspect in evaluating the suitability of applicants with the position for which they are applying. Therefore, it is important for every job applicant to develop a digital reputation. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of online personal branding (OPB) training in increasing the intention to develop a digital reputat ion among job applicants. This research was conducted with the pretest-posttest experimental design method without a control group. By involving 21 experiments from job seekers, the OPB training focused on aspects of the person, paper, and internet. The online personal branding intention questionnaire (KIOPB) consisting of aspects of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control was used as an instrument to collect pretest-posttest data. Israeli law requires citizens to enlist in the army at 18 years old. However, the Jewish Ultraorthodox community has a longstanding agreement with the state that members of this community will not have to enlist in the army, given its spiritual leaders’ strong opposition. Still, there are young men who go against the communal norms and enlist. In the current study we investigated these young men and the contribution of their self-esteem (a personal resource), their sense of community (a communal resource), and the community members’ attitudes toward them (societal conditional regard, both positive and negative, and stigma) to their wellbeing. The current study consisted of 153 participants between the ages of 20 and 55 (M = 29.64, SD = 6.89). Amidst dynamic advancements in the digital landscape, we are witnessing the emergence of new forms of violence and exploitation, with "revenge porn" being one of the most alarming representations. This study undergoes an in-depth investigation into how revenge porn can lead to a situation of poly-victimization, a situation where victims are exposed to multiple types of victimization at once. Revenge porn, the act of publishing explicit material without the consent of the depicted party, often triggers a cascade of additional victimization, ranging from online harassment to discrimination and social stigmatization. The concept of poly-victimization refers to a collection of traumatic experiences experienced by the victim, which in this context includes emotional trauma, reputational damage, and potential legal complications. This research adopts the normative legal method, which integrates statutory, conceptual, comparative, and futuristic approaches. The nature of the research is descriptive-prescriptive, with the collected data analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of this study aim to define and identify the layered impact of revenge porn and poly-victimization, emphasizing how victims often undergo a continuum of traumatic experiences. By exploring the multifaceted dimensions of these crimes, both from a psychological and legal perspective, this research seeks to establish a strong foundation of knowledge that can encourage the creation of more efficient victim protection strategies and stricter legal responses against perpetrators.

Do firms with employee ownership (EO) programs exhibit greater employment stability in the face of economic downturns? In particular, are firms with EO programs less likely to lay off workers during negative shocks? In this article, we examine the relationship between EO programs and employment stability in the United States using longitudinal Form 5500-CompuStat matched data on the universe of publicly traded companies during 1999-2011. We examine how firms with EO programs weathered the recessions of 2001 and 2008 in terms of employment stability relative to firms without EO programs, and also whether such firms were less likely to lay off workers when faced with negative shocks more broadly. In our econometric analyses, we use a rich array of measures of EO at firms, including the presence of EO stock in pension plans, the presence of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), the value of EO stock per employee, the share of the firm owned by employees, the share of workers at the firm participating in EO and the share of workers at the firm participating in ESOPs. We also consider both economy-wide negative shock measures (increases in the unemployment rate, declines in the employment-to-population ratio) and firmspecific negative shock measures (declines in firm sales, declines in firm stock price). Our results indicate that EO firms exhibit greater employment stability in the face of economy-wide and firm-specific negative shocks.

The study focused on Resiliency and Challenges Encountered in the Tradition of Indigenous Education at Sto. Niño Integrated School: Input to Action Plan, explores the intricate relationship between indigenous cultural heritage and educational practices within the Dumagat-Remontado community in Tanay, Rizal, Philippines. The research aims to identify the resilience factors and challenges faced in preserving indigenous education traditions and proposes actionable strategies to strengthen these practices.Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study gathered data from 32 teachers stationed at Sto. Niño Integrated School through surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions. The research focuses on five key areas: curriculum design, competency and content, teaching methodologies and strategies, learning space and environment, learning resources, and classroom assessment. The study is anchored in the Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (CRP) framework, emphasizing the integration of culturally relevant content and localized materials into the curriculum. Findings reveal that while the resilience of indigenous education traditions remains robust in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and classroom assessment, significant challenges persist, particularly in the availability and accessibility of learning resources. The study highlights that the number of trainings or seminars attended by educators does not significantly influence their perception of resilience in indigenous education, whereas the presence of culturally appropriate learning resources plays a crucial role. The research concludes with an action plan aimed at enhancing the resiliency of indigenous education at Sto. Niño Integrated School. This plan includes developing a culturally relevant curriculum, incorporating experiential learning strategies, enriching the physical learning environment to reflect indigenous traditions, and prioritizing the acquisition of indigenous learning resources. The study underscores the importance of community involvement, particularly the active participation of indigenous elders and cultural leaders, in curriculum development and educational practices. This research contributes to the broader discourse on indigenous education by providing a model for integrating traditional knowledge systems into modern educational frameworks, thereby promoting cultural preservation, selfdetermination, and community empowerment among indigenous populations.
