The prevailing belief, dating from Adam Smith, that the balance- of-trade was the dominant facet of English economic policy since the time of Thomas Mun, is questioned. It is argued that Samuel Fortrey is a more likely "founder" for this doctrine and that the influence of the balance-of-trade is due almost entirely to politics. "Before they learn there Is a God to be worshipped they learn there are Frenchmen to be detested," Fougebert de Montbron, quoted by Roy Porter, English Society in the Eighteenth Century * It is well-known that concern for the Balance-of-Trade is the distinguishing mark of the economic thought of the century prior to Adam Smith. No one would deny that the balance-of-trade is one impor- tant aspect of trade. What is striking is the enormous importance attached to the Balance-of-Trade under the Mercantile System. Was the almost hysterical stress laid upon the Balance-of-Trade a sign of demented economic thought or was the hysteria a cover for some noneconomic objectives of the pamphleteers? Adam Smith attributed the Balance-of-Trade doctrinea phase I shall use throughout to indicate the near exclusive emphasis given to this concept -to a failure to distinguish real from nominal wealth and suggested that the doctrine originated with Thomas Mun In the 1620s. In this paper, I shall try to focus more precisely on the rise of the Balance-of-Trade (interpreted in the extreme sense noted above) in order to suggest that Thomas Mun had very little to do with the rise of this doctrine. Rather, Samuel Fortrey appears to have been the most influential figure in arousing popular concern. This suggests that the doctrine of the Balance-of-Trade may have been a cover for discussing the non- economic dangers of the Anglo-French Trade and, if the conjecture is reasonable, it would require a substantial change in our view about "Mercantilism." No ano de 1898, numa propriedade rural em Kensington, Minnesota, um artefato singular foi encontrado por um fazendeiro local, chamado Olof Ohman: uma pedra rúnica, suscitando indícios uma remota presença viking na região. Aideia de uma longínqua exploração nórdica na Nova Inglaterra e nocentro-oeste dos Estados Unidos, tema de fato debatido por sociedades antiquárias durante o século XIX, ganhou uma grande aderência com a obra de popularização histórica do estudioso Rasmus B. Anderson, America Not Discoveredby Columbus, de 1874, popularizando entre leitores americanos e descendentes de escandinavos a "descoberta" da América pelos nórdicos nos tempos medievais. Longe de ser o único a falar do assunto, seu livro foi um dos mais divulgados. Além disso,o estabelecimento de comunidades escandinavas nos Estados Unidos, a partir de imigrações ocorridas durante o século XIX, proporcionouum contexto fértil para a valorização de temáticas relacionadas aos nórdicosantigos. Na estimativa de Elizabeth Ward, aproximadamente 370 mil suecos, noruegueses e dinamarqueses desembarcaram na América do Norte entre 1850 e 1875 2 ; Daron W. Olson, em estudo abrangente que tratou as conjunturas das imigrações norueguesas para o país, bem coloca que a identificação construída por essas gerações de imigrantes com os nórdicos de um passado romanceado proveu-os de um arsenal simbólico e identitário, capaz de dar novo sentido à história americana e forjar fronteiras culturais no interior do país 3 . As tradições referentes ao passado "nórdico" dos Estados Unidos, inclusive, encaixam-se nos conceitos de memória pública e cultura vernacular, mobilizados pelo historiador americano John Bodnar ao estudar a constituição de memórias sociais nos Estados Unidosao longo do século XX.

The article carries out an approach to some theoretical positions that draw near cultural studies, cultural history and its relationship with plastic and visual arts, in the historiographical analysis of contemporary thinkers that undertake trans-disciplinary looks, to elaborate new theories that sustain index research in plastic and visual arts.

Brătianu, to whom he often compared himself — Brătianu the son strove to bring to fruition a series of programs and reforms which were most essential towards the modernisation of the Romanian state. Possessing a real political affinity, as well as a special capacity for analysis and reflection, he made important decision in times of crisis — such the moment of the country’s intervention in World War One, when he strove towards the final goal, namely obtaining the recognition of Transylvania’s unification to
Romania. Moreover, Brătianu undertook the realisation of the agrarian and
electoral reforms, imposed the adoption of a new Constitution in 1923, and promoted alongside his colleagues a policy of economic development using the inspiring motto “Through Our Own Forces”.

Jan Assmann's Achsenzeit: Eine Archäologie der Moderne (2018) is the most thorough presentation of thinkers who reflected on the Axial Age available today. Although the label "Axial Age" was coined by Karl Jaspers in 1946, other scholars had touched on the issue as early as 1771. From the beginning, socio-historical analyses rested on a presentist framework according to which the Axial Age was interpreted as a positive historical legacy that could be exploited to make up for the deficiencies of the present. Achsenzeit excels in the discussions covering the time span from Anquetil-Duperron to Vögelin (1975), but it disappoints in relation to current debates. Unfortunately, Assmann's book ignores contemporary gene-culture co-evolutionary perspectives, as well as current research which argues for the convergent evolution of axial-age societies based on increased affluence, enhanced urbanization processes, and higher population density. These criticisms aside, the book is indispensable for the necessary knowledge of the pre-2000s discussion on the topic, and it is a highly pleasurable read.

Este artículo se enmarca dentro de un proyecto de investigación más amplio que pretende estudiar la «cortesía» de Antiguo régimen en tanto que reflejo de las teorías acerca de la naturaleza y el funcionamiento de la sociedad. En concreto, se centra en dos obras poco estudiadas pero vinculadas entre sí: el Proxeneta (1570) del humanista italiano Gerolamo Cardano y el Traicté de la Court (1616) del noble y político francés Eustache de Refuge. Ambos formulan ya algunas de las ideas de los grandes moralistas del siglo XVII (Gracián, La Rochefoucauld, La Bruyère, etc.) y trazan una imagen de las sociedad que anticipa las teorías filosóficas de Hobbes. Tales ideas influyen en la concepción que Cardano y de Refuge tienen de la cortesía, que se convierte en una peligrosa habilidad necesaria para sobrevivir tanto en la sociedad como en la corte.

El artículo está dedicado a la reflexión de textos orales como parte de los géneros tradicionales de los pueblos nahuas de México, cuya importancia radica tanto en su distinción como texto lírico así como en su enunciación dentro diversos contextos de la ritualidad agrícola.

El neologismo Utopía, creado por Tomás Moro para su ensayo literario, ha dado lugar a diversas interpretaciones y acepciones contradictorias a lo largo del tiempo. Así también originó un género literario, cultivado hasta la actualidad, que derivó en propuestas de orden político-social en un amplio espectro recorriendo, desde las mítico-religiosas hasta las materialistas-científicas. Intentaré develar algunos de estos aspectos contradictorios a través del simbolismo astrológico en primer lugar. Luego, indagando el sustrato mítico subyacente detrás del neologismo Utopía y, por último, estudiando algunos de sus antecedentes en la historia. El estudio se limita , por razones de espacio, a las Utopías del Renacimiento. Utopía: La palabra es concebida por Tomás Moro en 1516: U-topos: no lugar. Hace referencia a un país donde las relaciones sociales, económicas, religiosas y urbanistas eran armoniosas. Por lo tanto, juzgaba improbable la existencia de ese Estado. Con el tiempo dio lugar a claras derivaciones. Como sustantivo designa todo proyecto irrealizable. Como adjetivo nos encontramos con "utópico"-subrayando el carácter imposible de un deseo-y " utopista": inspirador de sueños.

The present paper is a historical synthesis of the specialized Romanian historiography of the last 150 years. The political element decisively influenced the arduous course of scientific research of the history of relations between the Romanian Principalities and the Ottoman Sublime Porte. Although it has been declared, officially as well, a "fundamental problem of Romanian historiography", the study of these relations was subordinated from the outset to the political conditions and goals of one period or another, thus being largely ignored or falsified. To give an example, the historical Turkish-Ottoman and Tatar sources were deliberately excluded from the 45 massive volumes of the famous "Hurmuzaki" external sources collection, published between 1876 and 1942, solely with the idea of facilitating the admission of independent Romania into the symbolic European geography. During the Romanian Communist regime's first period the motivation was linked to Turkey's membership in NATO, which led to the exacerbation of historical hostility towards the Turks. During the Nationalist-Communist period, Turkey was accepted as a Black Sea neighbor and partner, as a result of its role in bringing Communist Romania closer to the great Western states. At that time, the most significant progress was achieved in the thorough knowledge of the history of Romanian-Ottoman relations.

Monografija o Palati SANU daje uvid u razvoj najviše naučne i umetničke institucije u Srbiji i njenog napora da stekne stalni dom, palatu koja se po svom stilu i poziciji izdvaja u centralnom gradskom jezgru, podignutu prema projektima arhitekata Andre Stevanovića i Dragutina Đorđevića. Ova knjiga ukazuje i na ulogu palate SANU kao stožera gradskog života u vreme kada je podignuta kao stambeno poslovna palata, te njenu temeljnu rekonstrukciju nakon Drugog svetskog rata.

« Ophtalmologie divine : de Sainte Paraskevi à Déméter et Korè» : Cet article compare les objets votifs grecs modernes et antiques liés aux maladies ophtalmologiques. il examine le rôle et la typologie des tamata (« objets votifs » en grec moderne) dans le culte de guérison chrétien de sainte Paraskevi en Grèce moderne, et donne un bref aperçu d'autres saintes chrétiennes qui président à la vue et sont en lien étroit avec la lumière. en outre, cette étude examine les offrandes en forme d'oeil (anathemata en grec ancien) trouvées dans les temples dédiés à déméter et à Coré. « Comparer l'incomparable » permet une analyse ad fontes de la perception de la maladie ophtalmologique et de la pluralité régionale des cultes de guérison. en outre, cela autorise une discussion fructueuse sur le contexte culturel propre à la santé et à la maladie ophtalmologique. abstract : this chapter compares modern and ancient Greek votives related to ophthalmological illness. it discusses the role and typology of tamata ('votives' in modern Greek) in the Christian healing cult of st Paraskevi in modern Greece, along with a brief survey of other Christian female saints who preside over eyesight and their close connection to light. Moreover, this study examines ancient Greek eye-shaped votives (anathemata in ancient Greek), which were found in temples dedicated to demeter and Kore. 'Comparing the incomparables' , this paper argues, allows for an ad fontes analysis of the lived experience of ophthalmological illness and of the regional diversity of healing cults. Moreover, it allows for a fruitful discussion of the culture-specific framing of ophthalmological health and illness.

La letra ‘y’ es la de tradición más acendrada del alfabeto español. La heredó el latín del griego y, sin solución de continuidad, aparece en los primeros testimonios romances, o híbridos, anteriores a la plena escrituración del vulgar. Sin pasar, pues, por los numerosos titubeos e intentos que exigió la representación de sonidos inexistentes en la lengua madre, de manera que, por ejemplo, en documentos de los siglos IX-XII se da una decena larga de variantes para la palatal nasal de ‘viña’ o ‘año’. Nebrija no la aceptó en su ‘Ortografía’, pero en castellano nunca se ha dejado de usar, en catalán y aragonés con el dígrafo ‘ny’, en el romance navarro con ‘yn’. Se halla en 1526 como nombre de la correhuela indiana, «… y llámase ‘Y’» (Fernández de Oviedo, ‘Sumario’), con relevante simbolismo en Mateo Alemán y Baltasar Gracián, presente en inquietante anónimo jesuítico contra Sabatini, el gran arquitecto de Carlos III, «es italiano, imbentor de las ‘Y’ griegas». La Academia pretende acabar con su adjetivación de ‘griega’, la más corriente en el mundo hispánico para el ‘Diccionario panhispánico de dudas’ (2005), que no mostraba preferencia por ‘i griega’ o ‘ye’. La Real Academia Española «permite» la sinonimia, pero «aconseja» decir ‘ye’. Se andarán muchos años dando vueltas a una cuestión que al hablante-escribiente en general nada importa.

Abstract This study examines how the city of Naples has been both a literary site and a cultural symbol through different narratives from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. It focuses on the cultural representation of the city through literature, detective narrative, theatre and film. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of the Neapolitan dialect as a vector of collective memory, but also on the polysemousness of the image of the city as the 'unconventional capital' of Italian cultural identity. Through the study of works by writers such as Giovanni Boccaccio, Anna Maria Ortese, Eduardo De Filippo and Elena Ferrante, the project attempts to highlight Naples as a cultural microcosm that reflects on the relationship between history, language and collective identity, while examining the possibilities of cultural entrepreneurship and literary tourism.  Keywords: Naples; Literature; Cultural Identity; Dialect; Ferrante; De Filippo; Mediterranean; Cultural Entrepreneurship; Literary Tourism

У статті автор наголошує на необхідності переосмислити невідповідне сприйняття української літератури XI -XIII ст., некоректно означеної як двовірної. Уперше досліджено проблему традиції, образ автора та особливості авторського мислення у "Слові". Традицію автора, його художню техніку з мовою і словом, що відтворює дії жерця в ритуальному обряді, а також мисленнєві конструкції (міфологічні мотиви, ритуали, символи, міфологічні коди тексту "Слова") вияснено як елементи системно-комплексного міфоепічного мислення. Ключові слова: традиція автора, співець Боян, образ автора, авторське мислення, замовляння, мотив, медіація, образ світового дерева, примівка, ритуал, тотем медведя, язичницький культ роду, антропоморфне, анімістичне та магічне уявлення про світ. The study emphasizes the need of rethinking the controversial perception of Ukrainian literature of the 11th-13th centuries, based on the notion of so-called 'dual-faith'. It offers an analysis of the tradition, images and peculiarities of the author's thinking in "The Tale...". The facts proving the existence of the literary pagan tradition in the old Ukraine in the 11th and the 12th centuries and evidence of struggle against the Ukrainian cultural pagan tradition in the 16th and 18th centuries have been provided. In the fi rst part of the study the researcher speaks of the close connection between the traditions characteristic for the author of "The Tale" and the Ukrainian mythological tradition, assuming that the songwriter Boyan was its most famous representative in the 11th century. The second part of the study offers an attempt of modeling the mythological image of the author, describing his basic thought structures, in particular, mythological motifs, as well as other pagan ethnic codes and symbols present in the text of "The Tale...". The researcher aims to reveal the systemic links between these elements and characterizes them as a vast spectrum representing the Ukrainian mythopoetic world and its laws. The facts are given in the form of an integral hierarchical model, preserving and actualizing the deep, sacred meanings and values of the Ukrainian people, determining their informational and semiotic space. The language and its words within the artistic technique of the author imitate the actions in the pagan sacrifi cial ritual. Thus various mythological codes of "The Tale..." have been interpreted as elements of systemic and complex mythoepic author's thinking.

Nekroturizam je relativno mlad turistički fenomen kojem u Bosni i Hercegovini nije posvećena posebna pažnja. Iako posjećivanje destinacija obilježenih smrću i stradanjem ima dugu historiju, planske i organizovane posjete tim lokacijama su ipak prakse novijeg datuma. Pojedini kritičari smatraju nekroturizam negativnom pojavom i posmatraju je sa aspekta komercijalizacije, pa i relativizacije, tragedije i stradanja. S druge strane agencije i pojedinci, u nekim slučajevima i uz podršku zvaničnih državnih organa, ulažu ogromna sredstva i napore u promociju i unapređenje nekroturističkih potencijala. Bosna i Hercegovina, za razliku od susjednih zemalja, još uvijek nije prepoznala nekroturizam kao potencijal dodatne specijalizacije i proširenja turističke ponude.

How can we write the contemporary 'histories' of Captain Cook when they include such textual and material diversity? When that diversity ranges from children's rhymes to convenience stores as well as journals now claimed as iconic documents of the enlightenment? How might the insights of Bruno Latour into how the 'experimental' is produced in the laboratory be helpful in showing how Cook is produced in a settler culture? How does revealing the 'experimental' (the material and textual ethnography) of history show us new ways of 'doing' history that engages with its textual as well as its material diversity.

Alexander the Great was firmly entrenched in imaginaries of Roman ruling elites, from Scipio Africanus to the Roman emperor Caracalla and beyond.  This paper considers Polybius’ representations of the Macedonian conqueror and their impact on Roman elites, who were just beginning to formulate their ideas about Alexander and his significance to the history of the imperium Romanum and of the world, as Polybius was writing his work.  The historian’s generally positive assessment of Alexander, not without its ambiguities, is aligned with the generally positive Roman reconstruction of him, though again not without reservations.  A proper understanding of Polybius’ treatment of Alexander, however, turns on a more parochial perspective, highlighting Polybius’ own political position vis-à-vis Macedonia, Polybian didacticism, and a large narrative trajectory of the Histories.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o primeiro estágio da revista Mundo Nuevo (1966-1968) a partir da perspectiva artística (formato, design, periodicidade, programas, parceiros, canais de distribuição e subscrição) para desvendar a intersecção entre arte, história e memória na vida cultural daqueles anos. Suas ilustrações, desenhos e fotografias são tipos de intervenções culturais que afirmam, contradizem e ironizam as questões abordadas na revista, estabelecendo diálogos (intertextuais) com o tempo que a hospeda. O editor responsável - o crítico literário uruguaio Emir Rodríguez Monegal (1921-1985) - incorporou as imagens como expressões constitutivas ‘legítimas’ do campo cultural latinoamericano marcado por convergências e divergências com eventos do mundo...

Aelred of Rievaulx (d. 1167) wrote about 200 sermons, says his biographer, Walter Daniel. (The CCCM edition includes 213 in three volumes). Many are plain, many are boring. He often writes out large sections from patristic and medieval texts. Sometimes he recycles his own sermons and writings. Composing sermons for the church calendar can be an onerous task. 1 But an abbot whose soporific preaching left his monks bored and indifferent was not doing his job, at least not that part of it. Alongside teaching, he needed to move them from spiritual torpor to fervor, stir the love and the fear of God, and rouse enthusiasm for the faith. 2 His Sermon 68 for Pentecost stands out notably. 3 It is decidedly a prophetic sermon. El propósito de la presente comunicación consiste en mostrar como las instituciones femeninas en la Nueva España fueron parte importante en el desarrollo social, en ellas se formaron mujeres que tuvieron distintos roles de acuerdo con la mística y objetivos del establecimiento del que formaron parte. El objetivo principal consiste en una aproximación a través de fuentes editas e inéditas al intento de fundación de un colegio de niñas, así como a la localización y lectura del plano arquitectónico diseñado para este fin. El alcance de la investigación es presentar lo sucedido en el proceso de materialización del instituto, pues ahí se da cuenta sobre la manera en que se integraba una solicitud, los actores, los factores y las distintas condiciones que permitían la erección de uno de ellos. La revisión bibliográfica sobre el tema de la vida femenina en las instituciones se realizó bajo el criterio una selección de trabajos especializados y reconocidos por los aportes de sus autores. Metodológicamente trabajo se fundamenta con investigación de documentos manuscritos históricos, los cuales tienen una enorme relevancia debido a que son fuentes de primera mano, por lo tanto evidencia del proceso de fundación de la pretendida institución. La bibliografía especializada es otro de los apoyos que brindan soporte al texto, mientras que la observación directa del sitio complementó la investigación. Las fases de desarrollo de la Investigación comenzaron con la revisión de textos publicados, en los cuales se detectó la necesidad de explicar de manera, más detallada lo sucedido en los profesos de fundación de instituciones femeninas y la elección del caso del colegio de Pátzcuaro. Posteriormente se planteó la metodología y las fuentes objetivas para el desarrollo de la misma. De la ejecución de la investigación se obtuvieron los resultados, mismo que fueron discutidos y analizados con detalle en el siguiente momento. Finalmente se llegó a los Resultados. A manera de conclusión se refiere que en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII la ciudad de Pátzcuaro, México, fue objeto de un proyecto que pretendió una fundación singular, un colegio con múltiples actividades educativas y de resguardo para niñas y jóvenes de esta parte de la geografía novohispana, pero debido a la falta de garantías y documentos que avalaran la propuesta, el proyecto no logró materializarse.

A presente investigação teve como objectivos principais: (1) analisar a adopção e divulgação das práticas de responsabilidade social e verificar a respectiva evolução positiva para o período entre 2005 a 2009; (2) verificar se o desempenho socialmente responsável contribui para o bom desempenho económico-financeiro; (3) analisar quais as dimensões da Responsabilidade Social Empresarial (RSE) que têm uma relação positiva sobre o desempenho económico-financeiro. Para tal utilizou-se uma amostra de 19 empresas portuguesas cotadas no Índice PSI 20, avaliadas no período de 2005 a 2009. Os resultados permitiram concluir que se registou uma evolução positiva na adopção e divulgação da RSE, que o desempenho social poderá ter uma influência positiva moderada sobre a rendibilidade das vendas, e que as dimensões da RSE-Gestão Responsável e Comunidades Locais e a rendibilidade das vendas registaram uma relação positiva. Resumen La presente investigación ha tenido como objetivos principales: (1) analizar la adopción y difusión de las prácticas de la Responsabilidad Social y constatar la evolución positiva para el período 2005 a 2009, (2) confirmar si el desempeño socialmente responsable, contribuye para el mejor desempeño económico y financiero, (3) examinar cuáles son las dimensiones de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) que tienen una relación positiva con el desempeño económico y financiero. Así, se utilizó una muestra de 19 empresas portuguesas que figuran en el índice PSI 20, evaluadas desde 2005 hasta 2009. De los resultados obtenidos se puede concluir que la adopción y difusión de la RSE registró una evolución positiva, que el desempeño social puede tener una influencia positiva moderada en la rentabilidad de las ventas, y que las dimensiones de la RSE -Gestión Responsable y Comunidades Locales y la rentabilidad de las ventas registraron una relación positiva.

While in Classical and Early Hellenistic times the sculptors working in Knidos came in general from Athens, the artists of the later periods, as we learn from their signatures, came from very different regions. Some of them, like the Chiotian family of Zenodotos and his son Menippos settled in the city and the grandson finally got the citizenship of Knidos. In this time, the sculptors worked sometimes in cooperation on the same project as on the altar of Apollon Karneios where at least three signatures remained (Zenodotos the Jounger, Theon and Boulis). The figures of the frieze show clear affinities to Rhodian sculptures. This is of a certain importance because all the statues of the signed bases are missing and we have no idea about the style of the sculptors. However, one of the sculptors of the altar (Theon) worked also in Rhodes and received even the citizenship of the island. Once again, the close relationship of these two states can be documented and beside this, the global connections between the workshops in Hellenistic times can be recorded.

Il libro esplora l’intreccio tra i concetti chiave di lingua, razza e nazione nel dibattito intellettuale italiano tra la fine del Settecento e l’inizio dell’Ottocento. Gli studi naturalistici della seconda metà del XVIII secolo segnano la rapida evoluzione del concetto di razza attraverso la classificazione dei popoli secondo criteri fenotipici. Nello stesso periodo va affermandosi la nuova idea di nazione e di stato nazionale. Inoltre, gli studi linguistici muovono i primi passi e arrivano a porsi come paradigma per la definizione dei popoli e delle
loro origini. Nel volume vengono presi in esame alcuni casi rappresentativi di diversi settori scientifici (storiografia, linguistica, geografia) osservando quale ruolo svolgano e come si intreccino i concetti di lingua, razza, nazione nella formazione dell’identità politica italiana nelle fasi iniziali del percorso risorgimentale.

Artikkelen presenterer og drøftar nokre historiografiske utfordringar, tendensar og politisk-teologiske refleksjonar kring tilhøvet mellom kristendom og politikk i Skandinavia på 1800-talet. Korleis skal rasjonell forsking forstå og skildre aktørar som trur på metafysiske fenomen? I lys av dette problemet blir to overordna aspekt ved forskingsfronten vurdert: 1) korleis luthersk kristendom har verka inn på dei politiske kulturane i Skandinavia, og 2) betydninga til prestar, Bibelen og religiøse minoritetar. Avslutningsvis foreslår eg at vedvarande og utydelege krysningar mellom politikk og teologi må inkluderast og analyserast som potensiell forklaringsfaktor i historiografiske og samfunnsvitskaplege arbeid. Politisk-teologiske handlingar må forståast på sine eigen premiss, men vurderast på eit rasjonelt-vitskapleg grunnlag, dersom ein vil formulere teoriar forankra i empirien.

A paisagem urbana e uma escrita visual, uma tessitura que se acomoda em diferentes camadas ao longo do tempo, criando uma composicao no espaco. Se a contemplacao da natureza tem origem no romantismo, a criacao da Avenida Beira-Mar deseja projetar uma imagem cosmopolita para a cidade do Rio de Janeiro, inspirada no modelo frances. Os palacetes ecleticos construidos na belle epoque que ainda restam na Praia do Flamengo, sao testemunhos de um periodo em que o “morar a beira mar” passara a ser valorizado, transformando-se em motivo de desejo da emergente classe burguesa. Na decada de 1980 uma acao reconheceria o Castelinho do Flamengo como bem cultural, comprovando seu valor como icone simbolico que persiste na paisagem, a despeito do processo de verticalizacao urbana. Este artigo procura analisar sua heranca estilistica, conferindo significacao a este patrimonio artistico, que representa a experiencia dos modos de morar na cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
